Is it weird to just leave your library on Recent and then if a game leaves the top 10 just forgetting about it forever?

Favourites (also acts as a "currently playing" when I am playing a longer game)
Action
Adventure (point 'n' clicks)
GTA
Hidden Object
Other
Platformer
Puzzle
RPG (only cRPGs, others are in Action)
RTS
Serious Sam
Unplayed
I had like 30 categories, but then I realised since I only replay a few games, it doesn't really matter apart from a simple classification.

What do you mean? You get an error message?
If the game is installed but don't start, try verifying its cache files:
Right click on game in library > properties > local files / verify cache files (or something like that)

Games I completed
Games not from this planet (misc stuff that isn't on Steam like emulators)
Games one can't just beat (games that don't really have a singleplayer campaign, mostly online MP games)
My Games
insert person here's games (stuff I have thru Family Share)
Fuck off with this shit (category reserved for purest of shit games I played)

I don't like to use genre categories 'cause, well, I already know what category it is just saying the name. Actually I didn't use it, but recently I started to clean my backlog and decided to use this: 100% - Perfect Games; Finished; Installed, Uninstalled and Multiplayer
But you can take a look in Steam Store and see some others genres to use for those games :D

My system is very simple:
Brand New (at the top, for games I definitely want to play soon)
Cards (duplicate entries for any games that I haven't earned the cards for yet)
Full Games (for real, good, big titles)
Small Games (for indie titles, short games, little stuff that's still fun)
Worthless (for things I own, but will never, ever want to touch again)
...unlabeled... (new titles I just got and haven't decided on yet)

Why don't you just use steam itself and look at what games are tagged under

Hey guys, as my library is getting bigger and bigger I've finally decided to start sorting it, and I might use a hint or two, especially when it comes to categories. For now, my layout is following:
Action / Adventure (Dead Space, Prince of Persia, Tomb Raider, etc.)
Adventure (Broken Sword, Deponia, The Walking Dead, etc.)
Clickers (Clicker Heroes, AdVenture Capitalist, etc.)
Moba (Dota 2, etc.)
Platformer (Bit.Trip., Limbo, Mark of the Ninja, Shank, etc.)
Puzzle (Lucid, World of Goo, etc.)
Racing (Grid, Dirt, etc.)
Rogue-Like (Isaac, Spelunky, etc.)
RPG (Borderlands, Dark Souls, Deus Ex, Fallout, etc.)
RPG Action (Bastion, Transistor, Costume Quest, etc.)
RPG Hack & Slash (Titan Quest, Torchlight, etc.)
RPG MMO (Rift, etc.)
Shoot'em up (Jamestown, Sine Mora, etc.)
Shooter FPS (Bioshock, CoD, etc.)
Shooter 3rd (Spec Ops, Space Marine, etc.)
Strategy Real-time (Age of Empires, Warhammer 40K, etc.)
Strategy Tower-Defense (Dungeon Defenders, Orcs Must Die, Defense Grid, etc.)
Strategy Turn-Base (Invisible, Civ V, XCOM, etc.)
X - Never to bother with
I don't think it's enough, I feel like I'm missing something. I'm not sure where to put games like War of the Roses or Timberman.
What's your system?
