Humble is not a platform, just a store. Second best is probably GOG after Origin, Steam being maybe barely keeping itself at third place. As long as battle.net doesn't turn into Activision's own store and opens up to other publishers.

He was special. He was even kind enough to write in behalf of his brother, who's account was suspended. But turned out that it was his alt account (shocking truth!), and he was banned like a troll hero he was.
He could create troll threads, troll people in them and then close them. Re-create them, write something like this and then repeat it few times. And I believe he has first user that hit 1k blacklists mark on SG. Plus intolerance.

not good idea for the poll - such questions are much better being asked in forums, aka active part of the community, if you post it in main-page poll most of answers will be from not active users (because most of users are not active - they just come and enter stuff), and most of these will be negative because "I don't win enough".

people do feel pesimistic (especially low level public-only users) as it's proven by countless "why can't I win, I entered 100 GAs already!" topics we got over the years ;) People don't leave because they have nothing to lose - points are free, entering GAs is free, but even if they do win it does not indicate that they "do win enough" ;)

yes, but you gotta consider that people who are new to the site, who have not read FAQ etc are majority of the public userbase ;) On forums majoprity are oldtimers who've been around for a while, but on public majority are people who don't bother with forums, FAQ, rules nor community - they are here just for free games ;)

It's like with these old gleam GAs - people hated that their promoted spam, required ton join known shady groups etc, in general people hated them, but still joined thgem because free game is a free game ;) Or like it's with grey market sites - people will talk about how shitty they are, how they are stealing from industry and hating it, how they implement shady systems like paid buyer protection etc, but in the end quite a few will still buy there cause they are cheaper ;)
In short - you disliking something doesn't indicate you will stop using it if you can see potential profit - especially if this profit is money and effort free ;)
And we haven't even started talking aboput bots - which don't even require to visit the site until you win ;)

People usually scroll through more than 1 page of GAs ;) If you use scripts like SG+ for autoloading more pages you may not see poll, but again - most of these users never visit forums so they have no idea about scripts ;) so they will scroll through page 1 and will see poll b4 clicking page 2, then same on every other page ;) As for discussions I think it's a little bit different - discussions require you to open them in same or new window, read them etc, while clicking poll can be done without any bother in the meantime ;)
Anyway I may be right, you may be right, but I personally believe that just to be safe any polls regarding SG itself, it's future etc should be posted in forums where most of people are the ones who care about the site and community, where most of people understand discussed topic etc rather than in public part - just to be safe that ignorants who haven't even read FAQ don't influence the results.

if they post a poll there must be a reason for posting a poll. So they do take results to heart. It ofc does not mean that poll result are decisive - in the pat already cg used polls to gather data but in the end everything is up to him and if results are 100% agains of what he want he will ignore them. But if for example he is debating between two choices a poll result may be important.

first two - yes, second two - hell no, not only the initial choice would cause a lot of drama (why wasn't XYZ or his topic chosen for poll!!??) but poll itself would. Not to mention that vast majority of community is not active in community itself - they don't visit forums, they don't recongnize other users, so in the end such polls would be mostly about "who has highest level" or "who made most GAs", eventually "who has coolest avatar" because if most of voters don't recognize people nor topics they would be voting on such basis ;)

erm not sure if joking, but... ofc there is, ketchup is very different from actual tomato sauce. Tomato sauce is what you find at pizza right at the dough, orwhat you fin in original italian spaghetti, tomato sauce is very often a key ingredient of a dish, while ketchup is just a seasoning ;) They are also quite different in ingredients - tomato sauce will usually consist of tomatoes, garlic/onion, olive oil and various herbs, while ketchup will also include things like vinegar, celery, lots of sugar etc, which heavilly change it's taste from tomato sauce ;p

Tomato puree is also great, it's more or less dehydrated tomato juice ; or I think you can find diced (?) tomato in some stores, it's also sonserved as the puree is. Both stuffs are great to make your own sauce for pizza, sandwiches or other dishes, by putting in all the herbs and seasoning you want to have it in. (This is why some consider heresy to put ketchup on a pizza, especially before even tasting it. Kathup is nowhere to sauce, especially if the sauce is home made)

it's actually me in a nutshell ;p If someone asked me about my favoritue genre I'd say oldschool RPGs - but it's mainly based on nostalgia, I'm an old tabletop RPG player and GM, I started my serious gaming with old RPGs so I'd say this genre because of that, but looking objectively nowadays I play and enjoy oldschool RPGs, exploration stealths and retro platformers / metroidvanias all the same ;p Not to mention all weird genre combos we get nowadays - for example I loved Borderlands, which is basically FPS with RPG elements, but I played as Stealth Sniper so for me it was combination of Stealth-Exploration game with an RPG ;p Good luck fitting all categories like that in the poll ;p
