Let's talk about the latest DLC of The Walking Dead! Be advised, both the actions during the game and the consequence at the very end will be discussed so keep reading at your own risks. I will also talk in the order of my playthrough.

  • Vince: when the zombies started eating people, it came down to a decision between shooting Danny who claimed to be arrested for having sexual intercourse with an underage female or shooting Justin who worked as a white collar and successfully conned millions of dollars before he was arrested. There was no choice of shooting my own leg though I am not sure that would even help the other two to get out. I picked Danny and left Justin behind because Danny seemed sincere about his relationship with his underage girlfriend while Justin was more of a prick who scammed people. At the end, it appeared that Danny was actually quite dangerous and remarks of him willing to sexually assault someone were made. Danny was presumed dead too in my playthrough and Vince became quite hard to trust people, that's why he did not come with Tavia to the "settlement". It is my assumption that picking Justin over Danny would result in him going with Tavia.

  • Wyatt: I chose to play rock, scissors, paper with Eddie, picked paper twice, lose, and then had to come out of the car and checked out the person we just ran over. While I was dragging him to the car, Eddie was being attacked by the people from the truck that was previously chasing us and drove away. At the end, Wyatt was still looking for Eddie and agreed to come with Tavia to the "settlement" with hope of finding him there. It is my assumption that he would have not come with Tavia if I had decided not to check the body or stay in the car and let Eddie go check the body.

Note: I found almost no connection between these two's stories to the other three except somehow they all ended up being together at a camp.

  • Russel: travelling alone to his grandma's house 'till was picked up by a man name Nate on the 120-sth date after the outbreak. I was really confused about what to think of Nate since he's definitely a weirdo but there's almost no way to be sure of his intention, whether or not he's a bad guy. They ended up at a diner looking for supply 'till someone inside it trying to shoot them. Note: Nate's truck also looked extremely similar to the one that was chasing Wyatt and Eddie but I could not really tell given Wyatt's story happened in a foggy wood. When Nate pointed the gun at me and asked Russel to be on his side when he was about to kill an old couple, I refused and walked away. At the end, he chose to go with Tavia with hope of finding his grandma at the "settlement". My assumption is that sticking with Nate would result in him being all messed up and would refuse to come with Tavia.

  • Shel: She and her sister was staying at the diner in Russel's story with other survivors and some of them were members of Vernor's cancer survivor group from TWD season 1. It was stated that Vernon died because of his attempt to use the stolen boat (he TOTALLY got what was coming to him). Blood stain and the walkers resembling the old couple in diner could be seen (I still think Telltale did a great job of making the story based on the player's choice, so screw you naysayers!) Shel and her group caught a thief who was trying to steal their supplies and I chose to kill him in order to prevent outsiders to know about the diner. ~100 days later, the atmosphere around the diner was quite morbid and Stephanie, a survivor in the camp, tried to escape and brought with her a great deal of supplies. Stephanie was caught and it came to my decision of either leaving the camp or killing Stephanie and since Shel's sister did not want to leave, I decided to kill Steph. At the end, both Steph and her sis refused to come with Tavia probably because they could not trust any protected community anymore due to the experience they had at the diner. I assume leaving the camp would mean their approval of coming with Tavia later.

  • Bonnie: what can be a greater time to have an affair with a married person than in a zombie apocalypse! (cough cough Lori is a whore cough cough). Bonnie and the married couple Leland and Dee were being chased by a group of people probably because of the bag Dee brought home. I think that Dee was the first thief who stole supplies from Shel's camp since the people who were chasing her looked a lot like the people from Shel's camp. Bonnie ended up accidentally killing Dee and I chose to lie Leland about that. At the end, Bonnie agreed to go with Tavia and Leland was nowhere in sight. I think she would not go if I had been truthful to Leland about Dee.

All in all, it was a great DLC and I have nothing complain about, not even the length of it. I love how many details were used that were based on the choices I made earlier. What do guys think? Do you have anything to add to this?

BIG QUESTION: how would Clementine be involved with this group of people? will she be at the settlement??!?

Wyatt will go with Tavia when he left Eddie in the woods, because he's looking for him.

I let the thief free at Shel's part and they came back later and killed one of the group's member, then I killed Steph and Shel and her sister refused to go with Tavia.

Also I told the truth about Dee to Leland and Bonnie went with Tavia anyway.

Strange, considering Wyatt stayed in the car and he was one of the 3 people to come with Tavia.

As for Clementine, I'm not sure if she'll have a connection with the group. Her whereabouts is pretty much unknown after nearly a year since Lee's death. She'll probably see part/all of the group in Season 2.

One last thing: My theory could be that the "settlement" could be Woodbury. I'm not sure if the developers would do this, but I'd be surprise if they can come up with any other settlement.

So yea, that's my 2 cents on everything. Looking forward to season 2!

EDIT: Overall, 400 Days is a pretty good DLC, despite the sudden ending....

The settlement could be the prison too, but I don't think the TV series and the game will come together... Maybe some references, but nothing else.

my best is on either a whole new camp or hilltop settlement in the comic book given its size. Woodybury would not go that far to recruit people.

Interesting, I walked away when Nate was trying to kill the couple, but he did not go to the settlement. Also I told Leland the truth and she still joined the settlement.

Russel will only join if Tavia mentions there may be people he knows there, as he's looking for his grandmother. the other actions seem to be irrelevant.

By the way, I didn't notice them all while playing, but there are apparently LOT of call backs to season 1, and in general some really clever hidden things.

Very well done Telltale.

In order to get Russel to go, you have to have Tavia mention he might find people he knows. I don't think any of the other choices affect it. That also Wyatt to go if he left the car. Shel has to run away instead of killing Stephanie if you want them to go and still have Russel/Wyatt go as well. Otherwise, in the same conversation where you can choose to say they might find people they know if you instead choose the line about there being teenagers Shel and her sister will agree to go, but of course then at least Russel stays. The guy in the truck is Nate, and the cop Wyatt and Eddie hit was the one running away from the prison bus. If I remember right he is also the main zombie pet at the diner. In my game Dee was honest with Leland and he came with her, but not before grabbing the bag, he was still not with her in the end but I hope that means she will have the bag in the next season so I can find out what was in it. I managed to get everyone to go to the compound, I have no idea if that is a good thing or not, we will have to see.

Info how to get them all (can't remember their names, but nicknames will work), or what to not do to get nearly noone:
Prisoner only comes if you shoot pedophile, not office worker.
Hippie always comes if you drive a car, otherwise only if you'll say something like "there might be your friends in our camp".
Family always comes if you escape, otherwise you must say something like "there are kids there", if I recall right.
Kid only comes if you say "there might be your friends in our camp" (and that dude in truck is the same guy Hippie had "fun" with).
Accidental Murderer ALWAYS comes (and yes, they are chased by people we later see in Family).

So, if you want different saves with different squad, now you know how to get them. :P

As for DLC itself: I'm a bit scarred Murderer is going to be Ben v2, bringing death and destruction to everyone she knows. You're forced to take her, so she will play some major role. And with her CV (addict with lots of bad luck) she really looks like she might be new Ben. Or she could get some major redemption story - just like Lee...
