Hi Csontzuzo, very short is games up to an hour or so. It is mostly there to disqualify those games you can just beat in 5 minutes that generally spam you with achievements.

I will answer here as it this has just become a mess of replies.

Thank you for the screenshots, I appreciate you providing those. Even with those I have decided against accepting you into the group. I never doubted the legitimacy of you actually beating the game, it is simply the achievements that were unlocked after that were my concern. Even ignoring those at this point I have multiple other concerns that ultimately add up to me saying no.

1)

I can only invite you to play more games and hunt for achievements and you'll notice that not all, but some of them have at least 1-2 achievements unlocks at the same time.

If you don't think I have any idea what I am doing looking at achievements/playtimes then I don't want to be judging your playtimes. You should have done yourself a favour and looked at my Steam profile (or BLAEO or HLTB) before saying that because I am pretty sure I played and completed a game or 2 more than you. Even ignoring that I been an admin of this group for 4(?) years now and have approved/rejected 1000s of playtimes (I am not above making mistakes and I have and will own up to them, but there is no mistake in your achievements raising up a lot of red flags, I think pretty much anyone would agree with me here), do you really think I am not aware of the fact that some achievements can be achieved at the same time? There just is a difference between achievements that can/should be unlocked at the same time and achievements that shouldn't. And the ones in your case shouldn't.

Nope, you don't have to but if you do it will all get taken into account. There is no paranoia going on here, it is just making sure just making sure all adds up. I will question anything I find that doesn't add up, no matter who the person playing is. There is plenty of people who have been asked for explanations and screenshot for anything odd I found (most of the time it luckily turns out to be nothing, but not always). I owe that much to GA creators to make sure their wins are played properly. And well, if you think that is paranoia, well, this is not the right group for you.

I honestly feel quite offended at that statement. 1st as I said above I will check for literally anything that doesn't add up, you are by far not the only one. The playtime can be done by someone I like or someone I hate I will question it the same exact way no matter who they are. Hell there is someone in the group who has literally went full on creep mode on me and I haven't actually kicked him out even I could because he simply hasn't broken any group rules. So if you think I am playing any favourites games here think again. And 2nd I literally have 0 reason why I wouldn't want you in particular to join, the only interaction I had with you before was very pleasant.

I've requested. If I find giveaways of games I wishlisted or want to play, I'll definitely be more than happy to play the game right away or within the 1 month's time.

Why did I quote this? Because it makes me think you didn't bother to read the instructions how to you as point 2. very clearly states to say with which option you want to join. It is not something I hold will against anyone (especially if English is not their first language) unless I have some other reasons, but it sure doesn't give a lot of hope that said person will actually read the full rules as to how much is required of them (not) to do to stay in the group. I would like to add here that I am not trying to accuse you that you 100% didn't read the instructions, thats why I just said it "makes me think" and the thing about not reading the rest of the rules is just a generalisation about what tends to happen from my experience.

So to TL;DR this wall of text: I do believe you beat the game just fine, I don't know what happened with the achievements after because what you say/screenshot show vs the achievements don't add up. But I am not saying no because of that, I am saying no because of the rest of the reasons stated above. There is another couple of things that didn't quite sit well with me, but they didn't influence my decision on this and this is already too much of a wall of text.

Edit: I would also like to say sorry for the wait time on the answer. It took me a while to have the time to sit down and properly read through the comments, look at things and think about it (and even then I had to write the answer in multiple parts as time caught up to me).

In that case for option 1 you can pick any unplayed game with achievements you own on Steam instead and beat that.

How much of a role does total playtime play?

For the most part we got tools that can detect idling and can judge how many of the achievements that you should have gotten in an X amount of playtime you actually got to kinda estimate how much it was actually played.

How much of a role do achievements play?

There can be a little bit of case by case basis here since every game does achievements differently so things get adjusted due to that, but we don't require people to get achievements that are missable. And if the achievements are all missable/don't show progress well I might just ask the person playing to take some screenshots showing the progress instead. I could write an essay about Steam achievements at this point, but I think the proper answer to your question is simply that progress related achievements only are enough.

What happens if I enter for a game I think I'll like, but it turns out that I don't?

There is a minimum amount that needs to be played regardless if you end up liking the game or not, but past that point you are more than free to drop the game. The minimum in described under the first point in the FAQ.

If any of the above disqualifies me, would it be possible to re-apply if the issue can be remedied?

None of what you said disqualifies you. You are welcome to join with option 1, you just need to let me know which game you are gonna play (that fits what I said above) before you start playing it :)
