I just came across it today even though I have always been using the same card as before. Mine had three "verification" charges though, and it's description says USD even though the actual charge is in my country's currency. Needless to say, I exceeded the maximum number of verification attempts allowed and have since contacted steam support.

They won't fix it nor will they explain which are the verification charges( I even sent then a screenshot of my pending transactions to show me which one was it). No choice but to wait the charges out.

DOESNT WORK! I get receipts in AUD not fucking USD! I need to use my money today! on my card the two values are 1.33 and 1.36 but even if I put it on google to convert it doesn't work! (If it helps, I bought 10$ wallet on steam and it charged me 10.79$)
