Problem with Spore (Invalid Login)

Alright, so i bought Spore + Cute&Creepy yesterday, but for some reason the damned thing won't let me log in.

I had an EA account before, and the game accept it, but... It keeps saying "Invalid Login" every. single. time.

I am absolutely positive that the password is right (I even changed it) since i can login on Spore's site just fine.

So the question is - Is anyone else having this issue? It seems very common. And how the hell can i fix it? (I did try retarting everything and deleting that login file, but to no avail).

It may be because the game servers are shut down?(i don't know if they are, but EA usually does this,that's why they need to die)

I was having the same problem and checked the site listing all the shut down servers. Spore was not on that list. I have no idea what the problem is, but I think you'll just have to make a new EA account.

See, the problem is, i logged in to Origin just to double check (My soul is forfeit, thank you), and Spore was on my registered game list. I noticed that a great deal of people have been having this issue.

Sure, the game works, but i didn't fucking buy it to be unable to use online features. I could've downloaded a pirated version for that.

See,the problem is, EA is the worst money begging company and they'll do anything just for one more dollar, even shutting down online games servers, like they'll do with the new 'SimCity' in 2-3 years.

Check your router ports for the game or check if Spore is allowed in your firewall. Happened to a friend with BF3 and he just forwarded the ports and he can login again.

Done and done. Should've mentioned it in the OP. Didn't work.

According to the official forums, this is a common issue that people have been having since 2008... Although this time it could be server maintenance.

When will people learn that it's never worth it to buy EA games...no matter what the sale it's just not worth the hassle. One day people will accept this fact and EA will die.

everyone who support ea get what he deserve, the fact that they buy company´s and destroy the games is the worst what they do, not shut down server´s :D

Thought you might want to know, I came across this thread. It was posted a day or two ago, and a moderator is keeping tack of problems, so obviously the servers haven't been shut down yet. It looks like they may have been working on a fix, but won't continue until monday.
