If you liked the old Tribes, you will love this one!

Yeah, as the topic says im talking about the new Tribes game released one week ago.

The game is from the makers of Global Agenda. Its completly F2P, ofc with a item store ..Like in every F2P game, but I tryed it out for a while and the premium items dont affect the balance like I expected in beginning.

The game is very balanced and the roles of the different classers offer rly a choice between, aggressive, defensive, sneaky, squishy, tanky, tricky...etc.

Im wondering why steam hasnt addet it yet to F2P games since they have Global Agenda aswell.

It's called Tribes:Ascend. It's pretty popular.

How is the user base? Would probably play again for a while just for nostalgia purposes. No clue where that disc is though.....

I played it, but it felt too much like a pay to win game. Quit pretty early on.

O_o...Really? I felt the opposite, I was coming in between first and 3rd place after a couple matches just with beginners gear...it didn't take that long to unlock a nice assortment of stuff, everything felt balanced.

Its pretty much one of the only free games that feels like its not Pay to win, I can tell you right now you can have all the best equipment in this game and still get destroyed by someone with almost nothing, its all skilled based.

If you don't pay, you have to work hard to get new gear. And from that you get better at the game.

It's a nice system.

Two weapon limit, no custom classes a la the old Tribes games, XP grinding, perks, unlocks, pay to win/freemium and other modern gaming BS. This is a Tribes game in name only.

You really have to smile when you played Global Agenda before you try out this game. It feels a bit similar how the weapons interact with the environment, the explosions for example. How the grenades bounce and how the snipers work..

Its rly similar^^
