Only the users that are already read will see your message. All the, 1 click enter, script and autojoiners/bot users don't see it anyway.
So, maybe demotivated from own experiences with it, i would say it will not make a difference in the future :o(

I wish the description popup would be mandatory and not toggleable. I've fought for that, but too many bitched against it, so it got changed...
Oh, and using ESGST is certainly no excuse for not leaving a simple thank you after winning.

I recall someone on this site somewhere (I"m sorry, but I do not recall who) said that about 15% of those who entered the public ga entered the linked-from-description private ga for the same game, which had the same requirements.

Quite often when I make a giveaway for something, and have a DLC key or key for some in-game stuff, I'll write something along the line of "Reminds me about it and I'll give you "The DLC or in-game item stuff keys" as well if you win this." I very rarely get to send these keys to people, as they don't read the GA descriptions.
So their loss is your win! If you're fast, that is. But really, my main point here is: Read giveaway descriptions, or you'll be missing out on things.
