Since the recent festivities surrounding Awesomenauts' 5 year anniversary, I've decided to get back into it, at least partly so I can finish up the remaining achievements.

There is one achievement that requires inviting a player who hasn't played in the last 30 days (or ever) to a party and playing a match together. That is what I'm hoping to have some help with. If that is you, please send me a friend request.

And, if you're a new player who hasn't been recruited, I can give you a recruit code which will unlock one of the 'Nauts. Just let me know.

The other fellow was unable to get the game to start due to some glitch. If you'd be still willing to help I'd very much appreciate it.

"Last played 2017-07-09" but it wasn't match or anything, I just reinstalled game and launch it, then quit.
I'm waiting for some friend to install it and play with me :(

I sincerely appreciate the offer. However, after trying it with three other people it seems that the tutorial they added is preventing this achievement from working (there's a required bot match at the end of it). I've posted on their message board, but so far they haven't given me the achievement or the announcer that's supposed to unlock with it.

It was like that even before the game went F2P. The wording doesn't imply that a totally new player can do this. You'll need to either find someone to do the tutorial and then reschedule for a month later or find someone who has already done the tutorial but not played for a month.

Additionally if they launch the game directly rather than through the invite it also may not unlock.

In game, on the announcer page (this achievement unlocks an announcer), there is a tooltip you can hover over, and it says, "You have to invite a friend who has not played Awesomenauts in the last 30 days (or ever)." So yes, they claim that you can invite a brand new player.

However, all three people I tried this with (two people here, and one person who was on my friends list already) had played before (months, or in some cases years earlier) but not in the last 30 days. I invited them into the game (they did not launch it themselves). However, they all had to go through the tutorial.

After the tutorial the game put them into my party and we played matches, but at that point it apparently was too late. The tutorial screwed things up.

Then the in-game text for the announcer is wrong as the actual achievement doesn't have the "or ever" text. If they've played the tutorial then as you've already noted they've played a match. I had that same issue myself in that my opponent got stuck in the tutorial so we just waited out the thirty days and played another match. The achievement unlocked as soon as the match started that time.

Instead of finding new players and getting stuck in the tutorial just go back to one of the players you've tried with before who has already done it.

I'm not trying to find new players. This thread was created 3-4 days ago, which is when I carried out the attempts previously talked about. Someone bumped it today and I thanked him, but explained it was not going to work.

I've posted in Runimo's tech support forum, and I strongly hope they unlock the achievement / announcer for me, as I certainly feel I deserve it at this point. I've gotten three players to reinstall the game and play again, at least one of which who will continue playing for awhile. Each of them spent at least an hour trying to help me, and I spent at least four hours myself (posting here and on Steam forums, fielding replies, guiding a couple of them through the steps of the process, and playing at least one match with each). If they don't give me the achievement, it's definitely going to leave a sour taste in my mouth an dissuade me from spending any more money on their game.
