IGN giving star wars the old republic closed beta keys!

Well almost everyone who did sign up to be enrolled in beta already got an email, so this is good for anyone who is oblivious to that kind of thing.

Too bad my Prime trial membership ended yesterday :(
And no, I don't really see the point in paying for it, so I'll just see if I get the beta invite later on. But then again, I can just wait until (more) polished game comes out, and trial it then.

Yeah I got the code in my email days ago. Glad you reminded me about it. Its been downloading for 4 hours now. So we shall see.

I've redeemed this code with Origin, now the site says "The code has already been used." And I can't see this game in Origin. Crap -_-

Can some one with Prime send me a key if they would like :( I dont eant topay $7 a month plus SWTOR subscripion fee

They are literally inviting everyone who has ever signed up for beta before yesterday for a stress test. If you need this code you must not have been very interested in the first place...

Maybe if there was a code for an Origin free version :P

The official SWTOR site has a full list of sites that have been given beta keys to give out. IGN is only one of many sources, so you don't have to jump through the hoops of using IGN Prime to get a key.

At the time of this post, the official site is down for maintenance, so I independently compiled a list of beta key sources. IGN seems to be the only one charging for keys :p

Remember that you have to use your keys by this Friday, November 18th to get into the "stress test" beta weekend. It probably means that beta rsvp emails will be sent soon after that deadline. And they need to give people enough time to preload the game prior to the test.
