Masterpiece! Man, I almost died laughing.
To each his very own, I suppose, and I can't that I couldn't shovel your kind by the barrelful from most Final Fantasy fandoms. Still would like to see FFVII on Steam though, if only because it would open the doorway for other titles. Here's hoping for Tactics and Chrono Trigger, maybe even Chrono-meh-Cross.

It would be a wonderfully terrible thing to bring FFT to Steam. I would never play anything else ever again.

I can see VII, and maybe VIII and XI / XIV. All of those have been on PC. Those others haven't.

it might show up on Steam, but I wouldn't hold my breath about it. Personally I think I would like a legal version of the FF7 PC since the one I torrented ages ago is on an old xp computer that I don't use anymore except in emergencies and if I could get it through steam then all the better.

+1, with some nice achievements for those of us who've played them before.

That's been on there for over a year. It never came to fruition because it didn't run on anything. Then SE of America took the time to patch it up to run on modern systems and decided to release it only on their store to keep the lion's share of profits.
2013 you'll likely see it come to Steam as sales on the SE store trail off and probably end of 2013/early 2014 it'll pop up on GOG.com.

I'd buy it instantly. But NO! Let's not bring it to Steam. Let's put it up only on SE Store and let's make it unavailable to certain countries. Let's NOT make money! Let's not sell this game to everyone who wants to play it!
And they wonder that piracy is growing. Seriously, customers are treated like shit and that's a fact.

Representing "Old as Fuck" Y'all!
If this game gets on steam, I will buy it, or do other stuff

I still have the original PC version discs sitting in a box in my closet. Haha. If anything, I think I'd rather see gog.com get their hands on it.

Would be great. Still own it for a console I haven't had plugged in for years, but would be nice to replay it at some point. Same goes for FF VIII which I personally enjoyed more (neither as much as FF III/VI depending on what you want to call it though, ofcourse, but I've played that way too many times by now).

Apparently, FF VII is in Steam's servers
Some months ago there was an official re-release on PC via the Square Enix shop.
Eidos (the FF VII PC version publisher) is now part of Square Enix, the game would seem a natural candidate to join the company's offerings on Steam.
Do you think will we finally see it on Steam someday? Don't say it's an old game and full of bugs (I know it is) because there are also other old-as-fuck games on Steam already, and there is enough time to fix the bugs to make it playable on new computers.
