Hey, i'd like to enter a giveaway for dead island riptide, but because of the free weekend thing it says it exists in my account even though i actually don't have it. What do i do?

That's a common error on the site. It happens every time and sadly they haven't fixed the bug yet... So... There's nothing you can do

It's not steamgifts fault.

I don't know. Because when you sign up to Steamgifts those free weekend games do not count for your 100$ game value required. So apparently steamgifts can distinguish between those annoying free weekend titles and games you really own.

Cry. Crying is always a valid option. Don't listen to the others that say there's nothing you can do. They don't know what they're talking about.

Your avatar is from Mensa.

So... figure it out ?

I joined Mensa before. Then i realised i was paying a fee for an undercover club of dungeons of dragons. So i quit and spent that money on books instead. Dungeons and dragons is a good game thought.

You can wait a few days till the free weekend is over. I am sure there will be other occasions, until then better spend the weekend playing it than just hoping to get it.

Sorry. Now the world has a reason to put the collective Mensa brain to work this out.

Just be careful about playing it if you want to win it here; if you do play it, it'll be stuck on your account for 'recently played' for two weeks after, thus you won't be able to enter giveaways for it during that time. Overall, free weekends are why people generally sync during days that a free weekend wouldn't be on (that is, monday through wednesday)

Good advice, hadn't figured that out myself.

I do not deserve to be an ex Mensa :-(

Nothing you can do, just have to wait for the Steam system to report it as not in your account, which takes 2 weeks.

Wait for 2 weeks and it will disappear from the "recent played" list.

Look on the bright side, you would not have won it anyways.
