Tried it. The technology is actually very impressive. A pity that Google never really tried to fully support it.

I got my refunds a few days ago. My only regret? Not buying more auric cells in Dead by Daylight. Could've had a near infinite source of auric cells for free lol. DBD has cross progression so I get to keep all of the stuff I bought in game. Spent over $100 so that was nice. I have no idea what I'll do with the $80 in Google play credit I was refunded though. $10 of it expires in 2 weeks..
