yes, SM3DW runs very well. played only the first 2 levels. had 60fps.

I tried Super Mario World 3D and it runs at 60 fps but with hiccup (basically when entering a new level or zone). Moving the game to an SSD greatly reduced the hiccups but they're still there. Sadly, I don't have enough spare RAM to create a ram disk (but SMW3D is only 1.68 GB, so I may try it).
I don't know why the IO is such bottleneck in the emulator. The Wii U runs the games from the DVD, right? Can't see how not even an SSD is enough to run the games smoothly.
You don't really need a beefy CPU to run the games at 60 fps. I have an old i5 3570k at only 3.8 GHz, and I've seen people still getting 60 fps with much worse CPUs.

how much ram do you have then? 8gb, i guess? try making just a 2gb ramdisk. it's worth it. fgor me the hiccups were basically gone. :)

I am playing New Super Mario Bros U right now - with an emulator! I am very surprised it already works so well, since the console is not that old. Very impressive. I wish PS3/XBox 360 emulators were already at that level. ;)
