For a moment I thought people were ignoring his problems on purpose, by trolling which Pokemon he should pick (after all, this is Steamgifts..gifts from Steam, not relationship counseling). Then I read the rest of the story.
And now I know I can't give good advise; I didn't grew up on Pokemon, so sadly, I can't help him with his heartfelt plea of who to choose ;_;

Okay I have a problem. I'm sitting here playing the old-school Pokemon games on my GameBoy Color. I made a new file because I already beat the game some 10 years ago or so. I'm right about to choose which Pokemon I want to start out with.
All of a sudden I get a call from my ex-gf. She's balling her eyes out and crying, saying she misses me and just broke up with her current boyfriend. Apparently she's at the hospital; she had just gotten into a serious car accident after leaving his house after breaking up. Her car is totaled and she doesn't have a way home from the hopistal. She wants to get back with me and said if I picked her up, she'd devote herself to me. It's been a few months since we've been apart, and I did care for her immensely so.
So anyways, now I'm sitting here conflicted, which Pokemon should I start with? Bulbasaur, Charmander or Squirtle?
