is this good ASUS G46VW and I have a budget of around $1200 so leave recommendations and dont say build a desktop as i only want a laptop

ASUS is the way to go imo. That laptop looks sweet, some people I know would say get a Alien Ware and ASUS heat exhaust is clunky but hey your baby makers will thank you. :D

At that price it's good, although personally, I'd avoid 1366x768 screens like a plague. If you're mainly using it for gaming, get this, it will run majority of games at ultra details on 1080p.

My Asus N56V is pretty good actually, if you discount the pretty poor battery. nVIDIA 630M can do about 40FPS in Crysis 2 on Max and it's got a quad...core i7 with Hyperthreading. Hard Drive is only 750GBs so you'll probably want to upgrade (maybe get an SDD for the OS), and start-up time is about 5 minutes which is always painful. Battery lasts 3 hours if you don't play games or do anything battery-intensive.

EDIT: Screen resolution is 1366x768, so that's also a problem. USB ports are all 3.0 though, so that's nice.
