Has the Last Campfire of Humble as a majorly-Steam game source burnt out?
They should name the bundle after "F.ck cancer" and say "F.ck Epic Bundle".

Lmao. If it at least had some games that were still exclusive i could see the bundle getting some bites
But games that are already on Steam ? Good luck with that bud

Yeah, at least such a bundle is harmless because no one sane is going to buy it. I'm more worried about Choice bundles, it's not like I'm buying them often these days, but it would be a huge waste if they'll include EGS "keys" to them since I won't be able to gift them to my friends or just drop them somewhere.

since when are you asked to pay for games on epic games store? O.o

I didn't have anything against Epic at first.
Then came the horrible hCatpcha from hell that can't be solved, and who refused to provide me one of their elusive Accessibility accounts. So yup, ditch hCaptcha or be boycotted Epic...

Not sure what you mean. Other captchas don't have the indecency to pretend they care about accessibility at least.
Some are much easier to pass though, one of my favorite is KeyCatpcha. And there's also some other one, I don't remember the name, where you just need to adjust a slider to match a piece. Even easier.

Did you buy the bundle? Is there a choice between Epic and Steam for tis game? (and what about for the others?)
Comment has been collapsed.
same i mean not that i'd buy full price of course but if it's not on Steam i forget what i own plus i love the features Steam offers that Epic don't or are not as good like discussions, chat , friends list etc...

nothing silly about paying for better quality service

oh god no - for me it's about 50 -50 i still buy it next month after that horrible dlc thing with borderlands 3 - that would tip me over the no thanks zone

humble is going downhill
next month: humble choice epic

Next: an all Epic monthly.
It was only a matter of time for IGN to sell out to the Epic machine. Think about it: IGN can't find anyone who's willing to put their games straight on the grey market with their bundles. Epic doesn't seem to have managed to convert anyone to the Epic Exclusive way.
Match made in heaven. Now Epic is going to pay IGN to sell their games for them.

so I don't know why the publishers would give only Epic keys.
To prevent their games to be (re)sold on the gray market, I would say. Once bundled, games get devaluated a lot. Some people will buy from G2A and the likes because bundle leftovers there are cheaper than purchasing from an authorized reseller, even when the game they want is on sale.
Although, in this case, it's direct activation... I suppose the same thing could have been done with Steam too. So... in the end, I'm not sure why it's Epic only.
Now, for me, no keys at all is a deal-breaker. I don't recall one bundle where I wanted all of the games for myself. And I've been purchasing bundles since... eh... 2013, maybe.

You're most likely right. I didn't think about that with Epic keys.
Honestly I'm not wild about Epic tactics and I'm worried about any store that doesn't allow for resellers (or just barely) but I'd buy a bundle of Epic exclusives IF I am interested in at least half the games.
But yeah as it is, with games that are available on Steam, meh what's the point?

I read somewhere but cannot find the source anymore that Steam did away with the direct link activation years ago, that's why we don't see those anymore. At least for Steam.
Epic direct link would have been fine if it was like Uplay one. That I can still gift away unwanted games that I already own to someone they just direct link it themselves but this bundle is all in do or die shit :/

Oh, that's interesting... I suppose Volvo had their reasons, but considering it's one way to fight the gray market, it was a somewhat dumb move on their part. I can see why publishers would prefer a platform that allows direct activation aaaand if this Epic bundle sells well enough (despite the vocal "no Steam no buy" crowd), I wouldn't be surprised to see more bundles being Epic-only.

i like the fact this bundle is called a celebration of Epic - where one of the big hits was free twice already and you waste the game by default because Epic says no to gifting and most people would pay more for a Steam version of these games
I still feel sorry for world kitchen they seem to be the featured charity - only when there are poorer bundles

This is incorrect. Only older games are in this category that are re-released on the Epic store, and only those Epic had an agreement with. Most games already on Epic will never be on free because why would they buy a game that's already on their platform. Epic has no right to any of these games as far as I can tell, because their publishers willingly brought them to Epic.

i get way more games than i play on epic through their weekly free games. never even installed their launcher even though i’m interested in some of those games i don’t have on steam

Weak selection and overpriced. I wouldn't be interested even if this would be Steam keys.
But what am I supposed to do with 5-6 games that I have no interest in at all and can't at least gift them?
@ Lilly
Could you please still add Steam shop links, even for such a bundle? Would make it easier to identify what we own, have wishlisted etc.

Initially, I thought of adding Steam links too, but I was reluctant to do so because of two main reasons:
