I'm just curious...do you or anyone you know ever bought WinRar? Cause I think every time somebody buys it, the developers have to open a bottle of champagne :P

I never needed to. Back in the 90's I used to use the nagware version of Winace. When 7z came out I have never needed anything else.

This is so good program. I swear my steam account - I will buy WinRar someday. They deserve it.

Yes... It's free and they jokingly issue a thing called "FREE TRIAL" which keeps reminding you to purchase it afterwards. Well, technically it is free, as it still functions after the free trial is over.

It's called shareware, not "freeware", it's expected from you to delete it after the evaluation period or to buy it. It's a non-enforcing way of them expecting you not to be an asshole.

Not even sure what features does buying WinRAR give you? Probably lets you compress files better. I just use it to extract stuff anyway, so I just get the latest free version on their website.
