There's no * next to Elden Ring. This game gives full CV, which means you'll get a full $50 worth of CV to level up if the giveaway is completed and the winner recieved the game and marks it as received.
When you go to "select a game" you type in the name of the game and if there's a * next to the game name it means it's been bundled and offers a portion of full CV and if there's ** it means it been given away for free or there's been some sort of issue with it and it gives 0 CV.
You can find the full explanation of the CV system(leveling system) below in the FAQ under the "Contributor Value and Levels" near the bottom.

ELDEN RING is currently not marked as 'reduced value' or 'no value'. So you would get the full Contributor Value (CV) from it.
The asterkisks you are referring to when creating a giveaway are what marks whether it is 'full value', 'reduced value', or 'no value'.
I would recommend reading the 'What are "No Value", "Reduced Value", and "Full Value" giveaways? How do they affect my overall contributor value?' section in the FAQ page: https://www.steamgifts.com/about/faq
But essentially;
No asterisk: - Full value (you get the full value of the game added to your contributor level)
1 asterisk: * - Reduced Value (you get 15% of the full price added to your contributor level)
2 asterisks: ** - No Value (You don't get anything added to your contributor level).
ELDEN RING does not have any asterisks, meaning it will give you 'full value' if you were to make a giveaway, and the winner marks as recieved.
Hope this helps!

I think you misunderstood something.
1 asterisk means reduced contribution.
2 asterisk means no contribution.
If there is no asterisk, then you get full contribution for the total price of the game.
Elden Ring shows no */**, so you will get full CV and level up.

you won't know fully how much CV it gives in terms of amount or level increase until the giveaway is over and marked complete - but like others say:
0 stars - 100% cost on steam
1 star means about 15% cost on steam
2 stars 0% cost on steam
not still on Steam then i think they use the last known price

You will recieve the contributor level after the winner claims his reward. That's how a GA works and that's why you didn't gain anything.

I offered to give some games here and all my give always said with * and that none of them would increase my contributor level. I even tried Elden Ring and it said that would not increase it either. So what to do?
