I just noticed from my profile page that it got deleted, because I gave it away and now It doesn't count for the contributor level. It wasn't much that i paid for it but it's kinda lame i get nothing for it, and I know this probably isn't the first game to happen, but anyway this also an appeal to the people who have it to stick with it for a while cause some mad collector might buy it for a lot more than it's worth.

Oh, that's probably why my CV level went down from 5.00 to 4.75.

SG really needs to fix this joke of a level system.

Honestly the only way to fix it is to get rid of it....

from 5.00 to 4.75

I doubt it. JotL was a cheap bundle game that hardly gave any CV.

edit: Your Journey of a Roach GA is giving you some extra CV now :P

Good thing I farmed those cards as soon as I heard about stuff going on about the game. And to think that I traded for it so no refund available.... :O
Does anyone know if it's still "playable" or the developer removed all the/(any) files it had? Cause I never got to try that 1 level it had...
Too bad, because the game was stunning visually, and looked promising. :(

Edit: Hey it's still showing on store for me, how come?

It shouldn't be able to be bought through the steam client, but like with any other game that got removed from steam, you should be able to still play it if you've bought it while it was still available.

games can't be removed from steam so you can play them. they just disabled it.

Except if the dev does this. http://www.kotaku.co.uk/2015/06/15/steam-greenlight-dev-pulls-game-calls-steam-community-shit
I also remember tye dev of Darkbase removing the game file, or was I mistaken?

Anyway it reminded me of this...

My Darkbase 01 files are intact and no updates are pending. I do wonder how Valve would react to someone vandalizing their game through an update though. Would they or could they revert it to a previous version without violating some sort of license agreement?

Probably they only halted the sale, and didn't remove it. Much like Arkham Knight.

I don't think there was anything to try :P. but yea the game did look pretty.

Also its still in store because its just purchase disabled. Other two answer the other parts.

And it seems that they will be granting refunds no matter the purchase date or playtime...

Too bad I traded for a bundle key of it before it had a 0.14 sale on Steam... And too bad I didn't look at the discussion boards again before trading. Last time I checked people were just saying they couldn't get past Level 1 because there aren't enough clues. Oh well...

Yeah they'll give refunds only because its a scam. Level 1 is impossible to beat from what I understand. The achievements are impossible to get because theres something wrong or missing from the file, which means the dev who acquired the achievements, used SAM. Level 1 is the only level in the game too.

Anyways I got it through a bundle but I'd keep it even if I bought it off steam, I like to have games removed from steam.

Does anyone know if we still are (and will be in the future) capable of crafting badges w/ this game?

As long as there's still cards, you can craft the badge :)

The developer might have removed the buy button from the page, to stop people from buying and refunding just for the trolling.

We have enabled refunds for all owners of Journey of the Light, regardless of playtime or purchase date.

so interesting, that dev's can actually do that.

It's not the devs, but Valve who did this.
