I didn't read it because it is political. I will say it isn't really hard to get in the writing business. Almost anyone can get some shape or form a fanbase with the internet with hardwork put in. If she really takes writing serious and it isn't just a get rich and famous fast phase thing, it should work out eventually.... At least that is what I'm telling myself. I am pretty sure I contradict myself regularly when I say it isn't hard to get in the business but it takes hard work to succeed... Hmmmmm...

Great story Jatan-kun (or perhaps Jatan-tan), I now have a raging boner. Your girlfriend could write the next 50 Shades of Grey.

I say there's no harm in trying to write. If she ever needs any advice, tell her to add me. I'm more than happy to help teach someone the, if you'll pardon the bad phrasing given this story's contents, the ins and outs of writing styles and rules.

I feel as though she overuses her nouns. For the arm wrestling component, she should make it visual, rather than saying "Barack won easily". Either I am just really uninterested in that, or your girlfriend needs practice. The fourth paragraph needs to connect and roll along with previous sentences. Try making it more exciting and realistic, explaining details. In porn everyone loves the details.

This was written in about 30 minutes, without proof reading or edits. Other than my own edits for puzzle purposes, of course.

This. Describe what happened so the reader can "experience" it in their head for themselves... don't just summarize the events like a journalist. IKEA Erotica is not hot, so watch for that.

Solution posted - sorry for cutting this series a little short. I haven't had much time the last 2 months or so due to moving/new job/etc. Since it was ended early, bonus giveaway will be for 14 puzzles solved and will be put up as soon as I'm done posting solutions.
Solutions will be put up gradually so the front page isn't spammed too much with my threads.

August 20128
Obama was feeling particularly stressed lately. It might have done with his campaigning, the long road trips, and his wife nagging about how he should spend more time with the kids. He did have one thing to look forward to though; he was flying solo to his hometown of Wonolulu for a day to visit his family, or so he told everyone...
Later that week: Obama's flight touched down at Honolulu in the early morning. He looked out at the familiar city, and felt a small twinge of excitement. As he walked out of the plane, he donned a hat and told all of his bodyguards, "Look at you poor fellows, sweating in your suits in this heat. Go take today off and enjoy yourself while I take care of family business and talk to the locals."
They obliged, knowing that it was extremely important to him that he interact with the common man unhindered. It was a popular campaigning trick, and it was quite fun at times. Little did they know that Obama was going to interact with someone rather uncommon.
Obama took a taxxi to his hotel where he would be spending the night. He checked in using one of his bodyguard's names. After all, he didn't want to be targeted by assassins or the media. As he took the elevator up with a small suitcase, he checked his appearance in the mirrored walls. His cool gaze reflected back at him, with a few wrinkles on his brow. There was a trickle of sweat that belied his nervousness which he wiped away using the back of his hand. He hoped to look more confident in a few minutes, when he would meet with that special someone. As the elevator stopped on his floor, Obama strode out and passed by his hotel room, instead knocking on an adjacent door. Mitt Romney opened the door, and the two men embraced.
"Mitt! It's so wonderful seeing you here!" squealed Barack. "Let's go to Waikiki Beach. It's beautiful." Mitt smiled and agreed. The two set off, hand in hand.
The sun was blazing and the sand was scorching hot. However, as Mitt's hand softly caressed Barack's hand while they were walking, Barack had more important things in mind, like the turgid heaviness in his pants. Barack leaned over and whispered into Mitt's ear that they should return to the hotel room. Mitt giggled, and they headed back.
Mitt sat on the bed, and patted the space next to him. Barack sat down, and the two men embraced.
Mitt muttered softly, "Who's going to top?"
"We'll arm-wrestle," said Barack. "After all, we can't have the American public vote on this issue."
Barack won easily, but Mitt would only concede defeat after Barack had beaten him soundly twenty times. The wrestling had left the two men sweaty.
"Mitt, you look quite hot. Better take off your clothes," smirked Barack as he unbuttoned his shirt. Mitt pouted, and stripped quickly. He hated losing. However, his worries melted away as Barack embraced him and gave him a deep kiss. Barack pushed him softly onto the bed and climbed on top...

After the trip, Michelle Obama noticed that her husband was more care-free than usual. "That trip must have done him a lot of good," she thought. "I hope he does well at tonight's convention."
Obama was feeling particularly confident as he walked on to the stage. He caught Romney's eye on the opposite side of the platform, and gave a wide smile. After Romney finished his intro, Obama began his speech, which convinced the American public that he had what it took to remain strong in foreign policy.
The end.
What do you think about the story? Do you think she has a chance at a writing career? Also this is [Puzzle] A Puzzle a Day #23 (Short Stories). Yeah, I'm lazy, especially since sg was down the last couple of days ;_;
tl;dr - there is a giveaway. This is A Puzzle a Day #23
Solution:
Just take the characters that are out of place (misspelled words). The last two characters are hidden in the source
