The reason we don't do that is the same reason why we vote anonymously. So people can't give you a hard time if you don't do what they want.

Would be interesting but there is a script that checks by going through their giveaways! Obviously can't check everyone because some people just whitelist and don't make giveaways!
Plus people with hundreds of whitelist would probably suffer through pages of users xD

As a community member I thought of an idea, shared it with community and now community discusses it along with respect to each other.
There are some aspects I couldn't think of that other people brought to light and also new ideas emerged such as bl/wl notes.
For example I checked your profile and saw that you were in my whitelist but I have no idea why :D

Sooner or later I need more stringent requirements than simply $1K USD given away.
If you leave a potato option in the poll, you're getting potato whether you want to or not.

If I see a giveaway I am interested in I tend to check the user profile and see how much they've given away.
And you'll always be blacklisted by people. I'm up to 60 BL already, and some of them were from users I looked up to
(Sooth, Desertmouse1, BoGG, etc)
Some people's BL criteria simply make no damn sense at all.

That is true enough. Even if the rule breakers don't initially get caught, sooner or later, they will. They serve a suspension, then either they learn from their mistake, or they continue breaking the rules and get permabanned. I personally though make certain not to break the rules in the first place. :)

So you next need a script to whitelist everybody with more than <some level> or rather <some USD amount>? Maybe a RSS feed that tells you when a new user crosses the magic threshold :>

I hate RSS feeds, that's the last thing I want or need.
An automatic script to do it for me would be nice but would probably drain server resources if it has to check everybody.

On one hand it would be nice to know who whitelisted you, but on the other hand you would be more inclined to whitelist them back without second thought and whitelists would soon become cluttered with strangers and loose it's meaning and significance.

It would be neat, and the data isn't entirely private since whitelisted giveaways otherwise wouldn't show up on the tracker. I wouldn't mind if anyone I've whitelisted saw. I often go patrolling to add people to my list.
Regardless, seeing my whitelist meter bump up always brightens my day. Some people here are very nice. :)

I'm on 133 whitelists but I do only see the same two who create giveaways. I dont understand why they whitelist me if they never create WL giveaways -.- Thats why I have 0 user on my wl.
Thats why I do not need to know on which wl I am. But it would be better to see who blacklisted me. Why I should give away a game to someone who blacklisted me?
