It depends on what you have to say in that 50 words. Sometimes its harder to write more content in less words...

Most of my youtube comments are 50+ word essays. I don't like writing though, just typing.

50 word essay? For me that is hardly an essay more like a paragraph.

50 words isn't a lot, at all. I think I'll be angry if I get that amount of words. You can barely say anything with 50 words. 50 words isn't even enough for an introduction. This whole message is 5 words short of 50 words

50 words is basically just a very short conclusion. And who the hell gives people 50 word essays?

Just burn your school down and you won't need to write those silly essays.

You should state the subject matter and ask the members to do a word or phrase chain to complete your essay for you.

If you're doing a 50-word essay, your writing will have to be tight (no extraneous words). While the level of your schooling will determine how exacting you need to be in your writing (Is the teacher really asking for an essay or just some writing? Is it standard word-counting, or an actual word count?), let's use the rubric for a college-level essay as a starting point.
An actual 50 word-count essay is basically a paragraph. It consists of a topic sentence, supporting arguments, and a conclusion. Much more common is the "single-page essay," which is an actual format for formal writing. Writing such an essay is actually fairly simple.
Pick a topic sentence (this will be the point which you are arguing/promoting) along with three supporting arguments.
1) First paragraph will consist of an introductory sentence, mention of your supporting points, and statement of your topic sentence.
2) Second paragraph, consisting of your first supporting argument, clarification of that argument, and restatement of the argument.
3) Third paragraph, consisting of your second supporting argument, clarification of that argument, and restatement of the argument.
4) Fourth paragraph, consisting of your third supporting argument, clarification of that argument, and restatement of the argument.
5) Fifth paragraph (conclusion), consisting of a restatement of your topic sentence, restatements of your supporting paragraphs, and general conclusion.
Using this format, you should have a completed, one-page essay.

In graduate school, I took a humanities class where the professor expected five paragraph-style essays. I couldn't believe that she was serious, but she was....

This was well thought out and I can appreciate that, though it is likely impossible to have a correct English essay contain more than one paragraph with 50 words, and even ONE paragraph would be a stretch. The OP could however use this structure, replacing paragraphs with sentences.

Not only is it possible, I have been required to do it on more than one occasion. My impression, however, continues to be that the actual assignment is somewhat different than originally stated.
