So i've gotten to the stage where I don't have a clue what game to play again.
I'm looking to play a game in my library that follows these criteria:

  • Under 10 hours to complete the story.
  • Story based game.
  • Single player.
  • Not a high graphics game.
  • Preferably a platformer but doesn't have to be.

Anyone got a suggestion from my steam library that i should definitely play. Also Most games that have under 2 hours of play time havn't actually been played but instead just idled for cards. Anything really good that I havn't got around to playing but should do?

Also a little giveaway to thank you for your help.

Braid is nice, I have it somewhere, not on Steam. From the platformer genre, maybe Shank/Shank 2? Haven't finished Shank 2 yet, but Shank was hell of a fun for me.

From games that you own I can recommend World of Goo. One of my favourite games ever. Also you can try Braid, Bioshock and Little Inferno.

Played thorugh little inferno a few times on my phone and absolutely loved it so I havn't actually played it on steam. Also definitely need to play the other 3 games at some point.

The Darkness II is very well optimized, so if you played Payday 2, new DMC or B.Infinite you will not notice any problems on high settings, I guarantee you that!
If you are looking for a good storyline, you will find it here, intense and probably one of the best among modern FPP genre.

I also recommend you Enslaved: Odyssey to the West, have great story too and this is strictly platformer, very fun and intense experience.
If you've never tried Jet Set Radio you may wanted to try it too. Lack of good story, but huge charge of platformer gameplay content.

Oh well that's good. I will definitely have to get around to playing darkness 2 then.

Enslaved was one that i've been meaning to play but got sunk into my library backlog and forgotten about. Jet set radio looks pretty awesome too!

I'm a bit unsure about the "Not a high graphics game" criteria, so I'll just shoot a few suggestion for good story driven games.
Regardless of your gameplay time, here's the list:

Mafia II
Sleeping Dogs
Tomb Raider 2013
Mark of The Ninja
Half-Life 2
Far Cry 3
Deus Ex: Human Revolution
Batman: Arkham City GOTY
Trine 2
Dust: An Elysian Tail
Metro 2033/Last Light
Max Payne 3
Bastion
Portal 2
Medal of Honor

That's about it I guess. The other great games I know doesn't have much story, such as Limbo (which is still an amazing game, recommended).

I said not high graphics because my computer I have at the moment isn't very good at running graphically intensive games.
Anyway from your list I might give Dust, metro and mafia a try. And some of the others when i get a better PC.

Ah, I see. And yeah, Dust and Mafia II are nice choices.
As for Metro 2033, I'll warn you now, it's very CPU intensive. More than any of the games I have listed, I think.
It's basically the only game that really lags out at some point in the game.

System Shock 2

Consortium

Lone survivor maybe

Max payne 1,2,3

Mark of the ninja

Master reboot

Dust: An elysian tail

and some others I guess. Not all of them are platformers but other than that they fulfill your requirements for fun stories that can be completed in 10 hours at max.

Spec Ops The Line? idk if you've finished that offline or played that before on other consoles since there's only 1 hour on record. It's not exactly a high graphics game.
Also Mark of the Ninja.

I started spec ops the line but never got around to finishing it for some reason. Will definitely have to get round to it at some point. And I finished mark of the ninja offline at a time when i had no internet. Great game! Its annoying how steam doesnt show your hours for offline play though.
