Where should the game link in inaccessible GAs (like in the attached screenshot) lead to?
Agree.
or maybe group page/creators profile - so we know what group we should join or who to blacklist back ;p

It used to display what group the giveaway was for but I think it was removed to prevent begging for invites. While I agree with that point I find it should at least display the group name if and only if the group is public. That would also help the group as it will probably lead to more users. For private group giveaways it should stay as it is though.

I wasn't really serious, but your version is logical.
+1 xD

hmm maybe just a "back" function? I mean if you would be send to Steam it would be also a bit strange

i just mean, that if i click on a link from steamgifts i would not expect to leave steamgifts ;)
but i never click on that button anyway...

Agreed, would be helpful if the link lead to store page.

This would be a reasonable option, yes.
The only reason to point to Steam is to help users find more about the game. This is something they can do in every other giveaway that's accessible to them, so it would at least be consistent. The current setup makes no sense though. Why on earth would a link point to the same page it's on?

Exactly. This has been one of my main... little gripes I have had with the site for a while.

that link that redirects to the same page is pretty useless...
i still wonder why sg doesn't show all winners in group and blacklisted giveaways when they are finished.
it would help checking winners, and sgtools could easily mark infractions instead of seeing only 3 winners in profiles.

The image of the game used to link to the store page too. I was baffled when I discovered it was no longer like that.

Dan Quayle is known for two things: being a forgettable vice-president and misspelling the word potato with an 'e' at the end of it.

~~You know how you sometimes you try to access a giveaway only to see this message:
A similar message appears when you're on the giveaway creator's blacklist. Regardless of the reason, this error always includes a hyperlink with the game name (in this case "Recursion Deluxe"), but it just leads to the same page. I think this is pointless, because you just see the same message again. It would be better if the link pointed to the game page on Steam. At least this way you would know what you're missing ;-)
Update: Royalgamer06 created a browser script that replaces the target of the link to a search for other giveaways of the same game. Much more useful! :-)
Update #2: Script now included in ESGST!
