Love the book. I prefer the BBC TV-series to the movie though.

First 3 books were pretty enjoyable. They would've made it to "top 10 books I've ever read" if such a list existed. I dropped the 4th book somewhere after the first third. Movie was pretty mediocre. Not bad, not great.

Thanks for this post. I'm not a huge fan of the movie (though I think it was okay) but this made me think "what about Terry Pratchett movies" and I discovered that Sky One had three live action adaptations of Discworld novels, and they're even considered decent, so I'm planning to buy them.

It's incredible the ability this page has in not mentioning whatever movie/book/series they are talking about.

Love the books, and the first TV series, the films are 'alright'. Funny but not on the same scale as the books or TV series. Still want to listen to the original radio broadcasts!

I love the whale scene. Not a huge fan of either the film or books overall though.

Oh, loved the books, liked the movie, liked the book by Eoin Colfer.
Liked the Dirk Gently stories, but the BBC series (Gently) was not so good.

I liked the movie, but I loved the books more. It's a shame that I don't remember much about them, though. I've been trying to reread the series, but tons of other stuff keeps getting in my way, preventing me from enjoying the Guide all over again.

My favourite "trilogy" ;)

Here! I'm currently reading "And another thing..." but don't really like it much... I was expecting something better as an official sequel to the series... also if I think Adams was too unique in his style of writing..
