pre-bump. The actual bump will arrive when the bump has been released.

Happy Cakeday, and thanks for the awesome GA!
BTW...was just up in those mountains myself...except that I was doing downhill mountain biking instead of rafting...but equally fun (and stupidly dangerous...lol).

Ah, that's awesome! I did alot of biking In my "biking" class in school. We would take half-day trips combined with our science class and not get back to the school until 6 or 7. We would train to get to the top of the bike trails in the mountains and then fly down them too. I sold my bike a couple years ago and I've regretted it ever since.
It sounds like a blast. Next time you go up there you should share some pics of the views with us :)

Yeah, it was in winter park, and the altitude was pretty tough for me whenever I had to climb (I live at sea level, basically). Fortunately, most of the up-the-mountain work was done via bike/chair lift. :)
I didn't take too many pictures (trying not to die was my #1 priority...some of what I was riding got pretty sketchy), but I do have a couple I can dig up. Only one of my in action, and nothing crazy...just coming around a corner on a green. The blues...man, that was some crazy back-to-back surprise jumps/bumps/rocks/220 degree birms/drop-offs/whatever. I have a lot of saddle time on bikes, but it was my first downhilling day, so I was probably riding a little over my level. I only left the bike once early on during my first blue run. A little scary, but I learned from it and got my weight over the bike in the right places to not do it again. It's SO different from the sort of pump-trail mountain biking that I do around here (Houston).

Happy cakeday, rafting is pretty fun for those who like water, I have a few friends who teach people how to do it properly.

Yeah, I got your message notification one of the few times I had internet when I was up there, and was like crap. The one weekend I go out of town to do something fun, it would be on my cakeday. >:D

What's up?
So, the delay in making this thread is real. I went whitewater rafting on my actual cakeday, which is why I'm massively late. I had very limited service in the mountains :/. I was doing stuff like this, except I didn't fall out of the raft :D. It was fun. I highly recommend it, it was a freaking blast. To the point, where I'm planning on buying my own kayak and am wanting to run it hopefully next summer by myself. If I could get away with it, I'd sell everything I had and live on that river. No joke.
Anyways, it's been four years since I first met you fine people on this site, and I've enjoyed every minute of it. You people have made my time on the site both enjoyable and rewarding. I've met people from all around the world, coming from all walks of life and all sharing the same love for PC gaming and that's super exciting to me. We have a unique community here. I initially joined Steam to play Magic online with a friend that moved away, I couldn't have imagined I would have wound up on this site that had such a generous spirit of giving away games to complete strangers on the internet whom they have most likely never met before. I plan on doing just that too until I go bankrupt or die from rafting. :D
Here's the giveaway, coming in number 11 on the community wishlist! Thanks for reading :)
Always remember, happiness is only real when shared. :)
