Did you discover any games you forgot about?
Since they punish people who create giftlinks, which turns this "feature" a null option, there is no reason at all to keep any keys unclaimed.

As I already stated :
Leaving a game unclaimed has serious benefits if you're not planning on using the key immediately, since it's not uncommon for unused keys to be revoked and if you didn't reveal the key (aka claim the game) you're most likely to get a working one when you decide to reveal it later (aka claim the game) after said revocation event occurred.
It doesn't protect you against game removal from the store though. As with anything, there are pros and cons.

As you stated incorrectly. It's very uncommon for keys to be revoked.

Those are all low-tier bundles. There aren't any HB keys revoked that I noticed in that list.

As I already said, it's very uncommon as you can yourself see; there are what, two Humble keys there? That's out of thousands of bundled games.

Unused keys get revoked too often to not consider it as a possible event. Maybe not as much on HB than other places but that doesn't mean they're immune to it (they had their situations as well). Plus, I meant it generally not on HB in particular. Usually the store has to solve it and, in the event that it happens and if you didn't reveal the key, you'll most likely get one from a fresh batch, meaning you avoid the problem entirely including all the back and forth with support. This usually applies to all stores not only HB.
Anyway, we digress from the subject. I merely gave an example. Take it with a grain of salt if you will and if you consider your keys safe from said depiction of unwelcome event. It's beyond my intent to nitpick on anything.

Never thought about it this way, good point indeed. Has to be balanced with the risk of HB running out of stock and never resupplying the game, though... And to think the technology should make this straightforward... what a mess they make :/

Since nowadays even breathing is risky, in the end all these are minor concerns :). But, yeah, it's a neat trick one can use to bypass the ensuing drama entirely in the event that it happens. In the end, it's really not advisable to entrust a store with safeguarding anything of yours if you have the option not to do it, of course. Decisions, decisions. :)

Last reports of it were more than a year ago at this point. Also they're super rare

You're right, there shouldn't have been any reason to remove the number of unclaimed games shown on a choice bundle like before with the hide revealed keys feature on.
One could even say it's a bug, because why show the choice bundle at all if I've claimed all the games in it? and I want to hide all revealed keys.

not at all, you would be surprised how many people are that forgetful
even worst, shady system are not helpful
after revoking/banning user after using "gift link" with provided from their own system
changing HB monthly to HB choice and now goes back into monthly but still using "choice" as a name
auto renewal autocharge, i frickin hate this one
and now this, how many more broken system they gonna use??

it is not broken shady system.
Start your own page and sell games and that show you how stupid people are in better case. In worst case they are that shady part trying to rip off you and steam. You need mechanism to prevent you to loose money. It is bussiness, not childs play. You do not want loose money, because your system do not corresponds to demand. I want to know, how you will be able to maintain something like HB choice with over 90% discount ratio without changing system. You need to persuade publishers to give you keys. You need to deal with shady and stupid users... and you want to your salary. You never knows what is best, world is changing and you need to adapt.

they have money, resource, brand name, million $$$ business, you name it
but still opting to mislead user (like i said before)
in that case, it's all user fault when a company does nothing to implement better system? it's not broken (much) then don't fix it?

It's been like that since Choice started. Remember, at the start you had fewer choices than games to choose from each month, so they weren't "yours" until you claimed the games you wanted. They just keep using the same system, even after they did away with the limited choices. It does make it a nuisance to keep track of what you have, but it's not malicious.
I handle it by having a single list of all steam keys I own on barter.vg. It's easy to add to it after each bundle I buy (2-3 clicks) and it covers all bundle sites in one place.

Tbh initially I had the opposite problem. Whenever I looked for a specific game in my unredeemed keys, all my choice bundles with choices left would pop up on top of the search, which was annoying enough for me to clear out some of them at the time. In a way I'm glad that changed.
And while I have had a case once or twice where keys in a bundle outright disappeared, even unclaimed, without further notice or replacement, (not just me but globally, which did indeed make me regret not claiming them,) most of the time everything in there seems to stay and work. I've revealed a few 2018 keys earlier this year that were of no issue. Honestly the only thing I'm iffy about with key redemption over at HB right now is the alleged flagging when using gift links instead of redeeming keys. That makes my paranoia skyrocket, lol.

Judging by the blacklists and the slight negativity impression I get from the replies, I think maybe some of you got this wrong:
If the poll is correct and people were honest when participating, then those participants found a minimum of 265 games they forgot about in their accounts so this PSA served its purpose.

Short version:
Check each of your Choice bundles for unclaimed games and you might find quite a few of them hidden in there, that do not show up in your owned games searches.
Long version:
If you previously bought a Choice and didn't claim one or more of its games, they don't show up in Library, Purchases or Keys & Entitlements and aren't searchable. What this means is you can have unclaimed games you forgot about but Humble doesn't show you which ones they are unless you go through each Choice's page and verify if you have any unclaimed one at: https://www.humblebundle.com/membership/month-year (replace month and year with values corresponding to the desired Choice bundle).
Therefore, check your Choice bundles for unclaimed games and you might find quite a few of them hidden in there.
One might think Claiming serves no purpose nowadays, since you already get all the games in the bundle. If you don't claim the games they don't show up in searches and if you claim them there's no way to know if you used the key unless you keep track of it somewhere else.
This might be some shady tactic from Humble to maybe determine you to rebuy games you forgot you already have and paid for by hiding them through obscurity or just some bug or oversight from them. Either way you might have a bunch of keys waiting for you without you knowing about them.
For Choices until January 2022 included, you were still shown you had X unclaimed choices available.
Starting February 2022, the reference to the remaining unclaimed games was removed.
Checking the "Hide redeemed keys & entitlements" checkbox makes no difference, since you're not presented with individual games just links towards each Choice bundle regardless whether you claimed no game or all the games in it.
If you search in Library, Purchases or Keys & Entitlements for one of the unclaimed games you get 'Nothing found' implying you don't have that game even though you're technically entitled to it.
These being said, you might want to keep track somewhere else (in a document for example) of what you left unclaimed, just in case.
*Changing category to Deals since it pertains to the Humble Bundle Choice.
