Is the game complete yet, or have they still got more DLC to add?

This is part 1 without DLC, i believe there will be 3 seperate titles in total.

So yes, together it's a hefty price.

It's a complete edition in that it includes the Yuffie chapter that was DLC on PlayStation, and that the following parts of the remake will be separate games, not DLC (as far as I'm aware).
It's incomplete in that isn't a remake of the whole of the original FF7, only the initial chunk in Midgar. I expect part 2 to be out in early 2024.

Part 2 is gonna be a PS5 exclusive first, tho. So we won't see it on PC until 2025 at least.

Good call, I hadn't considered that.

This is the "complete" game since the Yuffie DLC is added.
However, the game isn't complete as square is going to milk it for the next years still. Part 2 is coming next year, I believe.

This game won't go much lower knowing how SE operates. Max discount is -%10 extra as humble sub and that makes it $35.90. It may go to $29.99 once Rebirth comes out which I doubt it coming out this year.

It was $30 with coupon on Epic a while ago. Haven't seen it go that low since.

GMG has been beating HB lately for sales on SE games; if you've reached the requisite level of their XP membership (likely if you've bought stuff enough there before), they've added a full 20% off in every recent sale, whereas HB caps it at 15%. It's not a huge difference, though, and the changing cashback offers from things like Rakuten and Microsoft can sway it.

At the moment Rakuten has a 15% cashback offer with HB, but I'm not sure if there's exclusionary fine print.

I don't think there are any exclusions for the cashback. If you're ok with waiting for the cashback amount to be credited then that beats the sale price GMG has had it for. At best GMG might have it for 60% off in the future. Rakuten makes this a pretty good deal, but without it GMGs price was better

I played the "original" game on the PS3 (they had the classics on PSN), and I am actually currently replaying it with a heavily modded Steam version (in Big Picture! with voice acting which is quite ok, really!). But I never played the Remake, well, yet.

Random thought: it would be really cool if they changed a particular moment in the story to surprise us old timers... I cannot tell you which one, because that would be a huge spoiler for whomever did not play it; and I do not want people to tell me if they did that or not, because it would be a huge spoiler for whomever did not play the remake.

So... Yeah, I really know how to start a conversation that leads nowhere... ;D :D :D

Cheers!

the story changes in the remake, this game is just the part in midgar so we don't know if they will change that popular moment from the original but there is a strong belief that they will do so.
the remake is some kind of parallel universe and not the exact same game, it is well made and also adds elements from crisis core and dirge of cerberus.
