I tried Twitch streaming a few years ago, but it just wasn't for me. I found that I didn't enjoy my game as much as I would if I were "alone," and that probably has to do with the games I play. The games I play probably would be better off on YouTube as a "let's play," but with all the time it would take editing videos and uploading them, I would rather spend that time playing more games.

funnily, it's the extact opposite for me by now. I don't enjoy games as much anymore when I'm alone.
I'm like "this game is so great, I'd love to share that with others" all the time I play nice games solo.
But I'm still too small of a streamer to do that. Whenever I try streaming more unknown games new people don't join, so there's not much chat activity and my regulars want me to stream Hearthstone again so i can keep growing :P
but I'll get to the point eventually!

There are games I can see that would be more enjoyable to stream and interact with other people. I mostly like to play RPGs and simulators. When playing an RPG, I'm trying to be "in character" and get immersed in the game, and having an audience that I have to interact with would kill the immersion and throw me out of character. Simulators require a lot of attention to the game, so there's not much time to be interactive.
I recorded, edited and uploaded a video of a mission I did in Kerbal Space Program a while back. Every time I think of doing a YouTube Lets Play, I think back to how long it took me to edit that video. It took me about twice as long to edit than the time it took me to play the game.

Just two weeks ago I made my first milestone train. Little did I know I'd have another reason to celebrate so soon again.
First off; I'm done with my final exams! For almost two weeks I didn't allow myself to stream or generally play games and learned as hard as I never did in my life. I went to bed at 8pm and got up again at 5am to be in the best condition for the exams. And I'm SO glad it's over!
I don't know how they went, we won't get the results until in over a month, but I had a really hard time pushing myself through this gameless time, so I'm super excited to be free again!
Also, my main milestone: I'm a twitch affiliate now.
Now, I know a lot of people were invited to this semi-partner-programme during the last week, but receiving the inviation was a huge motivation for pushing through final exam week and I'm super excited to be able to stream again now!
Someone already donated my very first bit, the most beautiful cent I've ever earned 🙊
So, I thought I'd share some of my joy with you guys again and give away some stuff!
Hop onto the little train here: 🚂🚂🚂🚂
Also if anything great happened in your life lately, let me know! :D
