Meh, I used to play Ultima Online for a time when I was a kid. Later on I moved to Siege Perilous, and stopped playing short after, lost all interest... The game was nice however. As well as Ultima single player RPGs. Still, I hoped for System Shock 3. Bioshock series might be the "spiritual descendant," but it's not System Shock :P

Ultima Underworld has more in common with System Shock and Skyrim than it does with classic Ultima or Ultima Online.

I have the Ultima Underworld games on 3.5 inch floppy disks, along with the extras like the metal runes that have sharp edges. :D
I heard that Arx Fatalis was to be a third game, but couldn't get through to the company holding the IP.

Paul Neurath, Warren Spector, Tim Stellmach, Steve Pearsall, Terri Brosius, Stephen Russell, and a few other Looking Glass staffers have formed a new studio, Other Side Entertainment. Their first game is a sequel to Ultima Underworld 1 and 2.
For those unaware, Looking Glass Studios was the developer responsible for Ultima Underworld (obviously), Thief, and System Shock, which went out of business 15 years ago.
