I am in a mood for puzzle creation right now.
I enjoyed a day at SPIEL in Essen yesterday, so for today's "puzzle" you will have to identify three boardgames. There will be one picture of the game's setup or parts of the game's stuff.

I want to create a couple of more small puzzles soon-ish (not sure, this might be the last one) and do something special for those, who solve one of my puzzles very fast. In clear and uncertain words: There will be a GA (or GAs) for everyone who finishes top 10 (on ITH) in one of my puzzles. If you already finished top10 in one of my last ITHs, please wait a little before answering your last question in this one, to give other users the chance to finish top 10.

I try to post puzzles on different time, to give people from every timezone a chance to finish top10.

ITH

Edit: There are already hints in the comments.

Edit again: As several people pointed out to me that Q2 does not accept the correct answer: Your answer was not correct - yet.

Solution (one possible answer per line):
Q1:
Hypergrid

Q2:
Fabled Fruit: The Lime Expansion
Fabelsaft: Die Limetten-Erweiterung
Fabled Fruit - The Lime Expansion
Fabelsaft - Die Limetten-Erweiterung
Fabled Fruit The Lime Expansion
Fabelsaft Die Limetten-Erweiterung

Q3:
Agricola

I bought Pandemic Legacy 2 yesterday <3

I have no idea on any of those games :-o

I only played the original Pandemic.
I have to find myself a group to play Legacy Season 1 at some point.

I might add more hints in a week if there are no solvers. I anticipated boardgames being difficult ;)

I played Risk Legacy ~a year after it came out. While not the best game ever, by any criteria, it was by far my favorite experience. Pandemic Legacy amplified it. SeaFall had major problems, but having a wonderful group and just enjoying playing it, and not being overly critical of it made it fun.

Based on the reviews of this game, I'm super excited. I have Charterstone and Gloomhaven headed to my house within the next couple months as well :-)

I was invited to a small group to start Gloomhaven soon-ish.
It was interesting to see how the piles of Gloomhaven copies got smaller and smaller each time I passed their booth yesterday in Essen.

Got no. 3 immediately and I thought I had the second one although it doesn't accept my input.

Will have to dig deeper for no.1

If you have a good guess for Q2, take a closer look.

Sigh.... Q1 looks really interesting. And yet it's the only one of the 3 I couldn't find. :(
Decorated by a bunch of iconic symbols. And yet seems like nobody bothered to describe those in the board game description pages.

There's something wrong with Q2. Neither German or English answer works.

I should have answere:
"Of they don't work. It is in Klingon obviously!"

For those who wonder, you can answer in English or German.

An even bigger one than you think, since the 2nd game is something a friend of mine owns.

I love Essen Spiel. I used to go every year. It is more sporadic now. Hence I do not recognise Q1. Hmmmm.....

I dont think it's working

'Boys, a pig's head and small flying things on an island.'

Is this not the angry birds movie?

Bump for solved, though I am a bit lucky with the first question. Sorry for taking a place in the top 10, since question 1 is the only one left and I didn't think that I would get it so quickly.

I found the game for Q2, but apparently it's not the right one.

Well. I'm not gonna do it. I'm done. I haven't been able to get the right solution for more than about half of the questions on each of your ITH puzzles, with a lot of trial and (a lot of) error. Sorry if this sounds harsh or negative, but I think it's fair. They're not approachable, they're just needlessly frustrating. They're not even puzzles, they're just "guess what OP is thinking -- sorry, that's not right, wait a while and try again, over and over." Maybe the GAs are worth it? I can't tell. But not for me, they aren't.

Sad to read.

I have to agree, that for all recent puzzles but the first one, you have to guess a book/movie/... based on the hints/images given.

My advise is often to wait a while and try again, because I experienced often myself that trying a puzzle (or a physics/math problem), one is set along a certain way to think early on. If it is the wrong way, one needs new ideas, which most of the time only come after a certain time.

I would not write this advise here, as either your google-fu or boardgame knowledge is sufficient to know the names or it is not.

I have absolutely no idea what games they are, but have a bump for board games. My current favourite is Lord's of Waterdeep. It's a fantastic game that I would recommend to anyone.

I bought Lords of Waterdeep a while back, but have not managed to gather a crowd to play it. Each time we play boardgames, something else is on the table.

I'd also recommend it on steam, just as much fun as playing around the table and the asynchronous multiplayer is really well handled.

That would be an awesome game for my "top 10" giveaways, but I am very reluctant as it is only available on Steam and I do not want some gifting mess up.

If I used the search function for BoardGameGeek correctly, apparently there are about 4700 board games released in the hint year of Q1? O_o

You can go to a lower (but still big) number if you take a SPIEL preview.

Yep, it was the sort of name you'd expect from a board design like that. :p

Already checked it, feels more likely that I'll solve this one first.
Besides, I'm just trying to solve it because the Q1 game looks interesting. And the other 2 were trivial to search.

I played the original version some years ago and now remembered to buy a copy for myself. I did not do any research about differences. Now I have to find time and a crowd to play it.
