There was topic like this over 2 years ago, but go closed, and now I need suggestions, and since like bazillion games came out in last 2 years decided to make a new one ;)

Long story short - after over 5 years of service my mouse died (Left Click stopped working), will try to repair it, but for now it's useless for gaming. Will buy new one only if I fail to repair it (because cannot afford as good one atm, so 1st I want to try repairing, if I fail I will buy some mediocre mouse). To make things worse my X360 controller is on warranty repair right now as well - leaving me with only keyboard.

So here comes my question fellow SGers:

What games do you reccomend that can be played with keyboard only and it will still be enjoyable experience?

(preferably some great platformer/metroidvania from my library I missed and never really tried ;p don't look at play-time, I idle a lot while playing something else at the same time ;p)

Couple of things I already know:
Binding of Isaac - it can be played with kb only but I already played a lot of it and looking for something new ;)
Super Meat Boy - same as above
Spelunky - tried it, was fun for few hours, but then I got bored
Super Hexagon - tried it and didn't like it, not a biggest fan of simplistic mega-fast score attacks
Bit.Trip series, Audiosurf and other runners - not in a mood for runner games
Shovel Knight - I know it is awesome, but I don't have it and not willing to pirate ;p
Crypt of Necrodancer - same as above ;p

Edit:
Thanks for all the suggestions guys! I think I'm gonna DL bunch of LEGO games (already tried Force Awakens and it plays great with kb only) and play them together with some Final Fantasy (IV or V) and maybe some platformers ;) It should easilly last me till I repair mouse / get a new one ;) But if any of you got other suggestions, keep em posted - it may help other users with swimilar problem in the future :>

A couple games that I have tested and were not listed already:
The Last Remnant
Recettear

You can also add the majority if not all the RPG Maker based games.

maybe doable, but I prefer to wait for my controller to come back to me for DS :> it's hard enough for me with a controller, not to mention getting used to kb controls without even being able to control camera properly without a mouse ;p

I find it easier to use the keyboard by itself, but a gamepad does make everything soooo much easier!

Binding of isaac is ok for play with only keyboard? im waiting for a controller.
Games for only keyboard, games of letters as letter quest or platform games as mechanic escape

Just invest cash you are going to spend on 'keyboard only games' and buy decent mousero.

I am not going to buy any cash into any games - I have a massive library, over 3,5k titles, so I am looking for something from it to play ;) If I had spare money ofc I'd invest in mouse rather than in games to play on KB only ;p

Any racing game?

most of the time I prefer gamepad for those - kb controls are not precise enough for racing (excluding trackmania - this game is made for keyboard :D:)

learn to read ozo ;p I not only don't have controller but also don't have mouse ;p 99% of games nowadays require either controller or keyboard + mouse, I'm looking for ones requiring keyboard only ;p

i read the title. you could add + no mouse there or make tldr :)
you can try to simulate mouse on keyboard. can't think of a name of any app for that now but there are apps like where you can move mouse with arrows or something, i've used such in past but that was some time ago + on a Linux os.
so pretty much than you can play puzzle game, hogs, etc.

ofc you casn, how do you think I manage to use these forums normally (too lazy to do endless tabbing ;p), problem is it's quite slow process compared to normal mouse usage. It's not fast enough and not precise enough to be a viable solution in most of games - maybe besides turn based, puzzles without timer, hogs, match 3 without timer etc - but even then, if each turn takes 2-5 times more than usually (depending on how many actual mouse usage is required per turn) these games becomes so slow and boring that it's not really too fun any longer ;p

can't you rebind left click to be on right? might loose right option but still better than keyboard. or if you have more buttons on mouse, rebind it to another button?
for example, my mouse is perfectly fine but i'm using middle mouse click on my thumb button. idk about that possibility on windows but on Linux it takes one command to rebind keys :)

still there would be a force of habit ;) I'd still be clicking LMB before I'd thought "hey, it's not working, remember dummy?" so for gameplay purposes not good, will stick to kb for now ;p

not to mention that tommorow mouse will prolly end up in pieces, so there will be no mouse at all ;p

Wait until you get the new mouse, at least...
After that, SMASH the old, half-broken one into tiny pieces, preferably recording the process, or at least shooting a photo of the aftermath...

not in that "kind of pieces" - I basically gotta take it into pieces to attempt a repair ;p And with this monstrosity it's not an easy process: http://imgur.com/a/8t0Sj :>

Well, if it's something that valuable, it's better if you attempt to repair it.
Myself, whenever a mouse stops working, I just throw it against a wall, but I only do that with cheap Chinese ones.

yeah, if it was 5-10$ mnouse I wouldn't mind and just got a new one, but this one I'm gonna try my best to repair it first :>

But, just to clarify, I always scavenge working parts from broken mice, before breaking the rest.
In fact, some time ago, my gaming mouse's wheel stopped working, its hinge had broken so it couldn't spin on its axis.
Luckily, I had a wheel from an older mouse, so I used that.

yeah, I go to friend tommorow and will scavenge this little copper thingy that prolly broke in my mice from his old mouse tommorow ;p

can tell about ones I played/finished ;p

Castle Crashers can be played easily with kb only, but it's coop game, it can be played solo as well but is much less fun this way.
Monaco - don't really remember - I think mouse was used for something, maybe for view cotrol or sth.
Never Alone - not really playable. You need mouse to quickly aim with your distance weapon (the rocks with a rope), in quite a few sections you have really small window of time to make a right shot, with slow keyboard aiming these sections would be impossible to do.
Rock of Ages - You need mouse for camera control, as depending on camera angle your rock changes direction. Keyboard is not precise enough to do it properly and fast enough I think.
Worms - all games need a mouse - for both quick menu choosing, but also for some of the weapons - like any homing missile, air attacks etc - you point with a mouse where you want attack to hit more or less ;p
Brothers - Would be much weaker with keyboard I believe. This game requires precision and coordination of movement of both brothers, while keyboard let you move them only in 4/8 directions, while analog = infinite directions.
SMB,TBoI, TTM, old TRs - played/finished them all already :>

Party Hard?
Telltale games?
Hotline miami?

hotline miami requires mouse for aiming and shooting, telltale games often require mouse for QTEs - point cursor on zombie head and left click to kick it befoire it bites you for example, and party hard I don't own ;p

Thanks for suggestions anyway ;p

Yeah, first Gothic was designed with keyboard. They kept that control scheme in the sequel as well as offering a new one.

Prince of Persia. The original trilogy does not need a mouse.
Also, Castlevania: Lord of the shadows I think can be keyboard only.

What about those NEOGEO games by SNK? Metal Slug Series, KOF 98 and so on... I would prefer using controller for platformer, but for FTG I'll rather choose keyboard.
btw SanctuaryRPG is another choice.

Awww, I was gonna suggest Rabi-Ribi (metroidvania/platformer/bullet-hell) but you don't have it and you already made up your mind on what you wanna play. :/

What about Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams? You don't have any of the achievements so I'm gonna assume you just farmed the cards and forgot about it. :P

well you know, main idea was to choose something I already own :> If I had spare monies to buy new keyboard-only games I could as well use this money to buy a new mouse instead of repairing old one ;p

And yeah, gotta finally play Giana Sisters, especially as I promised Zyddie I'd play it so many times... ;p
