.........no, you're not. ._. Both my girlfriend and I think it's hysterical that one of her friends moans about "being away from each other so long" when she's been only been away from her boyfriend two days (and he lives about 15 minutes away from her). Meanwhile, my girlfriend and I have an ocean between us and have only seen each other in person a total of a bit less than 2 weeks in nearly 3 years.

Well, you've got my sympathy there. In my girlfriend's country, they all run around out in the open and no one bothers them. Here? It's either tolerant, semi-tolerant, or BURN IN HELL. I find it hard to be comfortable sometimes, but I'm sort of a "Don't like me? Too bad." kind of person, so if someone decides that's why they don't like me... well good riddance. I don't have time for jerks.

My sympathies with that too. My family started intolerant (terrible, terrible time then), then turned tolerant... for the most part. There are still some family members I wouldn't say anything to just to keep the peace for my mother, and other members seem to think it "doesn't exist" and I should listen to God or something.

Yeah, but I'm sure it'll pay off in the long run; I couldn't ask for anyone better. She wants to move here permanently someday, probably within a year or two (and visit again sometime before then). The only part that sucks is we found out she could've stayed longer after she got home. Of course. :/
