Starbound. Not out yet, but Starbound. I would sell everyone else's souls to play it now until the end of days.

That or Nethack.

Obviously not a game with a story. Something that can be repeated without loss. Maybe Civ 4 or Dwarf Fortress or a Roguelike or an updating multiplayer game based on skill like TF2 or CS:S. Terraria might work out okay.

I suppose my answer is probably Civ 4.

I'm not the kind of person that plays one game over and over again so I honestly have no idea. I could probably limit myself to a single genre though
