Yeah, I've gotten to the point where if the game's Steam link redirects to the Steam homepage, I just hide the giveaways without a second thought. That said, if you're really curious, you could copy/paste the link into The Wayback Machine, like so: http://web.archive.org/web/20170622091420/https://store.steampowered.com/app/643600/

In those cases I google the game's name, open the steamcommunity link, and take a glance at screenshots, reviews (all-time, for both) and the forums - as usually only the store page is removed. Not the best, but I screenshots and reviews can help a lot in those cases.

Yeah, it was the first time and I definitely learned my lesson. But there's over a thousand new users a month, I'd spare them the sting of this lesson
