Ugh. I'm always so tempted to do Groupees pre-orders but I recently learned I can use the coins for bundles once they release. I wonder how much the pre-order will save...

you cant use coins on pre-orders. When the bundle goes live you'll see an option.
Take https://groupees.com/jast2 for example, when you try to buy theres options:
Paypal, Amazon, Visa/Master Card, Bitcoin, and groupee coins.

I read something about how they don't give change? I have one worth $10.90, so how would that work? I'd need to buy multiples of the same bundle?

Correct it doesn't give change (currently, might change in the future?). I don't know if you can buy multiple copies of a bundle with the same coin though.

After each bundle's preorder ends (if applicable) and the bundle starts, Groupees coins can be selected as a payment option from the bundle purchase page.

Zanzarah was non-bundled. I have two keys for it, waited until they get their turn in my weekly pack where I tend to put up a single non-bundled game. Now I can kiss that goodbye for these two keys. :(
