I thought it was really stupid, who in the world would want to change reality when you already got your full happiness wish granted?.
Isn't that the Whole point why xmen and avengers fight in the real world??, to get their Hapiness??.
Also after civil war Peter changed reality , and that was better than having gwen, uncle ben and the respect of the whole community, instead he lost Mary and later we get superior spiderman... Lame.

Some ungrateful ninja grabbed it already but thanks anyway.

I haven't really followed comics lately since I see that a lot of origins have been changed. While probably not as noticeable by this generation of readers I am approaching 50 years old and I have had to shake my head in wonder at some of the rewrites that they have done on character bios lately. I still haven't even seen the newest Fantastic 4 movie because I would have a hard time with the fact that Sue Storm and Johnny Storm are brother and sister so how come they are suddenly of different races? I'm not asking for spoilers on how they explained that either. I also don't feel that many of the actors used in superhero movies fit the mold of the hero as I remember them to be. It's obvious that they have been modernized but did they really need to be? Why not just make movies based on the more popular storylines that sold the comics over the years rather than try to rewrite history and hope that no one remembers or notices?

You are talking about movies, Marvel storylines are pretty consistent since the dawn of time. They launch new titles like "ultimates" that follow a different storyline.

Dc on the other hand almost every 4-5 years reboot the universe, but since it's a multiverse it turns out "old" stories do still exist in another parallel universe.

Finally since I am a Dc reader not many things get changed what they do is they add more elements to enrich the story, for example with green lantern it turns out Abin Sur was afraid to fail so he used a spaceship and then that fear lead him to fail in his mission, crashing on the earth, as told in the Balckest night storyline,
