Did you have a game you used to play in your childhood?

On my first and only console ever Sega drive or somthing like that I used to play Mario all the time, and Duck Hunt
When I got my first PC I got hooked on RTS games like Stronglod and Stronghold Crusader, and later down the road Rise of Nations.

Doom, Warcraft, Blackhawk.
You can't believe the happy dance I did when I found a couple of months ago you could download Blackhawk for #modern# computers too! I used to play a lot of Need For Speed too (with the Lambo, which was ace). Oh, and of course Nethack, but that was more on&off for me.
(On Nintendo, Mario and Duckhunt, of course.)
... and before all those C64 games, but I don't really remember clear favourites. Mysterio (which was text-based Cluedo), then a TV/movie based detective/noir thing (don't remember name, I'm thinking it ended with -Moon, had black box with a red lightning & a main image but am too lazy to dig up the box) and Donald Duck was fun.

Didn't have money to buy games (even if I did, the computer was too lousy to support good games) when I was younger, so I played free games from asiasoft (maplestory, getamped), and some random internet games.

So I was talking to my brothers yesterday, and we got on the subject of technology. We started to talk about games, and we talked about a game I have not seen in years... MDK! for those of you who don't know this game, it is probably one of the best 3rd person shooters, and a great classic! I remember playing this game when I was 3 or 4, and now I am 18 reliving my childhood! The game is on steam, but you have to get some stupid texture pack in order for it to work. gog.com has it working right off the bat and its $6 instead of $10. Basically, I want to ask you guys, what was your childhood game(s) or games you played that introduced you to the video game realm? Mine were MDK, nanosaur, and E.V Nova.
