Please do not say read the formatting faq. Or Google it. Because I have been at this for the past 6 hours strait. Reading everything from all the formatting faq comments, links everything. I searched the internet for any info on this subject nothing that in anyway helped to solve this problem. For someone that has had no prier experience, let alone any knowledge of this sort of thing. It is very difficult to understand. It also does not help when there is so much extra info that does not pertain to this exact problem. I have yet to figure out how to link things on this forum. So if there are any people nice enough to explain here with a guide for idiots kind of thing. Or a video that shows how to deal with this exact problem. These are the things I am trying to link here.

If anyone could put these in the proper format to link on this site and show me. Thank you for any help you give. Problem solved.

Are you sure that your link is valid? I tried with "http" instead "https" (sometimes it helps) but no success.

99% sure it's to do with the link, or where it's being hosted... or whatever. Try something else & It'll work, or move your pictures to imgur or another image hosting site. Have you tried copy & pasting your link into your browser, because when I do I get a blank page with "photocache911.flickr.bf1 : 404".

So...all you want to is have the link appear as the link itself? Put the link in both fields. The first is the display field, the second is the URL. If you want it to display as the URL, put the URL there.

It'd be a whole lot easier to just install SG+, that way you won't forget the format.

Here a noob guide with examples.

  1. Choose a name: Google
  2. Get the URL: https://www.google.com/
  3. Know the format: [ name ] ( URL ) (spaces are added to show this example, remove them all, including the one between "]" and "(")
  4. Fill it in: [ Google ] ( https://www.google.com/ )
  5. Do the above steps without the spaces I've added in this example and it will turn out like: Google
