I have in library a game called Kingdom Wars 2: Battles by the same developers.. is this the original one or there's a "more original" one out there?

Thought I owned the original game but realised it's 'Medieval Kingdom Wars' instead. Oh well. Still a nice gesture.

Yeah, that's unfortunate but KW2B is currently on discount, not as low as the lowest historical price (4,09€) but still pretty decent due to the much lower base price now (it was 27,99€ at some point).

A comment by the dev in the Discussions made on March 21st stated that the owners of the original game will get the DE version for free, so it should just have been done for a technical reason.

I did not play the beta, but I agree that it's probably something like this (since the beta did appear to use the main game's appid). Let's see if they add it back to the package on release.
