So was the second. I quite like the first, though it was a bit longer than it needed to be.

The problem is that all my friends who were with me like the film a lot expect me even the people seem enjoyed the funny scenes a lot
Maybe I am a serious person or people have bad taste nowdays
But at least the film has a bad rating on Metacirtic

They stretched out this franchise way too far...part 3 and 4 were really bad in my opinion and Im not gonna give it another chance xD

One of my friends is a Johnny Depp fan so we had to watch this movie

Johnny Depp is such a mixed bag experience imho. Though when I'm honest, the last good performance that I can remember was probably Sweeney Todd. And the last stellar one was Finding Neverland.

I can't wait for Dunkirk. A befriended critic can't stop praising it.

Yeah, I'd think the zombie pirates, Kraken, giant goddess, mermaids, magic ships, tentacle beards, and unbelievable escapes would have given it away by now.
I would lower my expectations way down before watching it, like with the transformers ones.

I haven't seen it yet but I can say this, it's a fantasy movie, it's not supposed to be realistic in any shape or form. Whatever issues it may have that isn't one.

I watched it, it was OK. Nice effects and props, but the pacing needed some work, and Johnny Depp just didin't have the same energy he used to (not too surprising given his age).
I've seen all the movies except the 4th since I heard that one was really bad.

I saw it and it was alright. I went into it expecting it to be bad so my expectations weren't high. It's one of those films you see for casual fun but don't expect much out of.
My friend really liked it but he hasn't seen any of the movies past the first one.

The first one was pretty good, it went downhill after that. I'm not even sure if I even want to watch this ever.
I used to like this Depp guy (Edward, Fear & Loathing, Once upon a time in Mexico, Blow, Donnie Brasco, etc.) but after these pirate movies and that Lone Ranger piece of shit movie he annoys me. A pity. But I read he desperately needs the cash so cant blame him really.

bad as hell, the story is linear, complete opposite from the first 3 where you had people changing side continuosly, this one was bad, the jokes where terrible, and even jack sparrow character was underperforming (and we all know that a 50% of the success of the first 3 was because of jack)

The weakest film in the series by far, mainly because it reverses the ending of the trilogy, which was quite good in my opinion. It's ok at best. The 4th film is my favorite, and the original trilogy is pretty awesome, so I have to disagree with naysayers who claim the trilogy wasn't good :)

So last week I watched this film in the Cinema with some friends
The animation was good and the story was ok, there was some humor here and there But i thought the film was unrealistic in a bad way at least in my opinion
