Something that makes the heart pump blood a bit more, makes a person lift the chin a bit higher, and has mostly even volume levels, as to not constantly fiddle with your settings (at least according to my non-musician ears) :3
Trïbe- Matter of time

Netsky - RIO (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qFDP9egTwfM)
The video clip is also awesome. Honestly, a lot of the music featured in racing games like Need for Speed or Burnout feels suited for running. But RIO from Netsky definitely takes the cake. The uptempo at 0:45 is pure gold

Great song, thanks. Added to my playlist.
I always downloaded the soundtrack of the older Need for Speed games, back when I used to play them. I discovered a lot of great songs this way. Unfortunately I m not interested in racing games anymore.

I can't run, but when I used to walk a lot, I liked something to help me get to the right pace. It could be rock, it could be electronic, it could be dance, it could be anything if it had the right BPM and the right mood. Good examples:

You are quite welcome. I love helping folks discover new, good music. 😊
Here's another: James Blake - Godspeed
I first heard it on a video of a dog who waited at the road for his now deceased family member on and off for years, and it destroyed me.
And another: Enigma - Gravity of Love
Also, a bonus Neil Cicierega.
Cheers!

Here's some music with energy and some for cooling down and stretching if you don't want to chill while enjoying your route.
Melting Euphoria's "Venusian Skyline" (pschyrock)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5GsCHQkulr4
But I prefer their "In Aquarian Dream"
https://youtu.be/MuClgEocpO4
On the "This is Space" 3 CD compilation the US version has "Venusian Skyline" instead of "In Aquarian Dream" which seems to have been released only on the UK version of the compilation.
From the Dave Brubeck Quartet's "Time Further Out"
"Bluette," "More Blue," "Far More Drums" & "Blue Shadows in the Street"

"The Tired Sounds of" Stars of the Lid

I absolutely love the name "Stars Of The Lid – And Their Refinement of the Decline". This is not something I listened to before. But it sounds like sonething perfect for stretchin, or for reading. And of course, you can't go wrong with Dave Brubeck. After so many great recommendations, here is something from me:

That was cool and new for me. Thanks.
It reminded me of Leonard Cohen, and the picture reminded me think of one of my favorite 8track playlists.
https://8tracks.com/sophisticatedanatomy/how-not-to-kill-yourself
It starts off with a good Led Zeppelin blues song and the playlist leans mostly toward blues and a bit of jazz.

The Crystal Method made an album called Drive in collaboration with Nike specifically to take you through a 45 minute run. It has single long track and individual tracks releases.
https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=OLAK5uy_m0mQk5fI8lRWnZdDGYA1xTUdd-i3AcBKc
Seems there are some other artists that also participated, but I haven't listened to them. Nike must have given up on the project. At one point it was supposed to sync with special shoes to your ipod and track your steps or some such.

I absolutely love running.
I got into running while I was living in France. When I moved there, I didn't speak the language, I didn't have my friends and most importantly I didn't have my bike. And running turned out to be the solution to most of my problems. It became a subtitute for my biking trips, it helped me make friends and indirectly helped me learn French, through the conversations I had by running with locals and signig up for races. Running helped me explore not only France, but Europe as well. It changed me who I am as a person, made me stronger and gave me more confidence.
When I run by myself while training, I always have to listen to music. The rythm can help with my pacing, with my mood or can even help me meditate. Depends on what I am listening to. I saw there were a few music related discussion topics here, so I thought I'll start my own. Help me build my running playlist. I listen to a large variety of genres (as long as it's not something overly commercial on constant loop on radio and TV). Here are three songs I have on my playlist for tomorrow morning:
Feel free to add any song you think I would enjoy or something you love listening to while working out, doing sports.
A giveaway for your trouble: Orbital Racer
And if you are linving in Europe, you also enjoy running and would like to connect, let me know.
