A game on your wishlist, and a giveaway! Only cats riding unicycles made of bacon could be better.

This Giveaway was inspired by an idea from user Djevora:

You could've made a game out of it at least. Say I buy one of the games on your wishlist (which you confirm), someone else then buys one on my wishlist (which I confirm), someone then buys them one and the chain continues...

Soooooo....the procedure:

  • Post a comment with your wishlist
  • Buy something from the wishlist of the person below you in this thread (NOT ME UNLESS YOU ARE THE FIRST POSTER)
  • The game you gift to the person below you MUST be within $5 of the gift they gave to the poster below them.
  • When you receive a gift from the poster above you be sure to return here and confirm receipt WITH THE TITLE AND VALUE of the gift you received from your wishlist.
  • I will send you a link to a private giveaway for 3SwitcheD once you have a confirmed gift from the poster below you (next time I check this thread)

Note: Be sure to give a gift to person below you ONLY if they have a confirmed receipt from the person below them. Otherwise they may be cheating, hoping to get without giving. Also, I will buy a gift on the wishlist of the first poster to this thread in addition to the 3SwitcheD giveaway that is open to all confirmed givers on this thread.

My 3SwitcheD giveaway ends Nov. 8th and has no CV. This giveaway is for confirmed submissions on this thread only. If you share the link you will be reported/banned, and anyone entering that is not confirmed on this thread will be reported/banned as well.

This is a new idea and may or may not be successful/manageable. The rules may be tweaked to stop potential cheaters, so try to just keep this a happy thread without need for modifications.

Now that we have the unpleasantness done, on to the fun stuff...free games!

My wishlist is here.. Unless you are the first poster to this thread DO NOT BUY ME ONE OF THESE GAMES

You need to post your steam wishlist, and gift me something from mine. the person below you will gift you something from yours, ans as a bonus for first post, I will gift you something from your list as well.

Pretty much. I am confused to the rules. If I buy the person the game below me, does that mean I buy for the person that posted after me (which is below me) or what? How do I know if the person plans to do the same, when does the chain begin? Trust is bullshit.

Actually, why would I spend (let's say $20) for a game that I will give to someone who will give me a game ($20 value)? I'd be better of just buying my game, in my opinion. :P

And also... What you're saying in OP is that someone gives you a game, but since you're first, you don't need to give anything? :P

Please don't take offense here. But i think people would perceive this as a thinly veiled "begging thread". Many would be inclined not to trust a thread from someone relatively new to the community. I do however think this is a great idea for say a small group you knew and trusted.

Fair enough. Needless to say the response has been less than great. I thought it'd be fun for a kind of 'mutual christmas party' but I guess this isn't the place for it. Tried to be overtly NOT begging by offering a giveaway as well as a mutual exchange, but that didn't come across. Time to delete this thread, and try another approach to spreading fun.
