Who will win?
As a german and a big fan of our team, I hope we'll win, but I have lots of respect of Italy. It will be hard work and very close.

Hoping for Germany, but to be honest Italy is playing great on this tournament, so I won't be surprised if they win :(

Wow, so Germany managed to finally beat Italy once.
Good for them.

The kicks from the penalty mark are not part of the match

Therefore, the match is considered a draw for statistical purposes.
I'm just being nitpicky here, we can consider this result beneficial for both parts:
Germany advanced to the semi-finals, yet Italy retained their clean record against them.

Your logic is rather flawed. Germany has performed superior to Italy during the penalty shots and did the deciding goal. Italy lost. To Germany. There is no such thing as "penalty shots not counting" if those decide the game anyways.
This is just like saying Germany didn't lose the WW2 because they surrendered before they were all wiped out. Flawed logic.

England deserved to lose, so I'm not as pissed as I could have been, respect to Iceland for that. Also, Iceland is currently getting smashed by France, so England would have probably suffered their most embarrassing loss in recent history.
Italy is just the type of team I always support at final tournaments, which I also supported in the EURO 2012 (cri eri tim :D)

Did you see Italy attempting shots?
Because I did, unless we watched two different matches...
I also saw a balanced match, at least in the regular time; then in the extra time they just decided to wait until the 120th minute to try their luck...
By the way, I won't argue the fact that Germany indeed played well, just that they weren't so superior, or else they would've won during the regular time...

And Germany had (slightly) more shots and (vastly) more possession. I don't say that we were incredibly superior, but we would indeed have won in the regular time, if Boateng wouldn't have had that bizarre idea. My statement stands, we deserved that win.

The Italian team as my respect anyway. Tactically impressive, as always. Others often consider that boring, I really appreciate it. And I'm very very glad that Buffon will be around 2018 too. One of the best characters in this sport / business.

Italy keeper made correct predictions for the saves but he's too slow.
German almost lost though

Holy fucking shit I have never seen worse penalties 2 goals out of 5 for both teams

Again, I'm sorry to disappoint, but according to the rules, the penalty shoot-outs after the extra time aren't considered part of the result.
Therefore, for statistical purposes, this match is considered a draw, so Germany still didn't manage to beat Italy in an official match.

What a match last night. Seems the gods of football wanna kidding me. All went other then I expectet^^. Congratulation to Wales!
What´s ahead today?
OMG OMG OMG, not Italy. Maybe in final but not this early time of the tournament. Germany never could win against Italy at a major competition in the past.
Well, there's always a first time.
The goal keepers could play a key role more than they do anyway. Manuel Neuer just as Gianluigi Buffon are both world class keepers.
I wish us all an exciting match, whatever the result.
What´s your opinion?
May the better one win
