I don't hate Origin. I understand why companies want to manage their own games directly. I dislike EA's policies and ideologies mostly, which lends towards them interfering with users and creating unnecessary hassles just so they can feel secure about themselves. It's pretty pathetic, but the idea of Origin is fine. It's just not too great at what it's supposed to do.

EA Policy and every single thing in this company (directly saying) SUCKS!!! All with Capital letters!!! S.U.C.K.S.!
They Have Stupid Customer Support, They dont even think to do something with all cheaters that appears on Battlefield servers, Exploits in origin, etc. Their greed for more money blind them! Right now they
re on the top of the worst Companies` list that I have....

Well, sir. I've been hearing rumors around the internets that EA spies on your files. You may not mind (because, of course, you have nothing to hide and only criminals care about privacy), but I do. Admittedly, I haven't done any research on the subject, so it's probably not as bad as people say. But there's no EA game I want (not until ME3, at lest), so why waste my time. Basically, EA sucks, so screw Origin.

Okay, their customer service is crap. I asked a live chat person where it says you cant curse, then they tell me all about PunkBuster, how it helps stop hackers, then tells me that they can get me a 15% off coupon to my next purchase. On Origin. Im not making any purchases there.

Origin is trash.
Terrible install system. They're trying to copy Steam, so why did they go backwards and go back to installers? Plus I've seen quite a few people have serious problems installing games like downloads failing at 100% and restarting or refusing to finish for no reason.
Many options don't work properly, including game install location and the option to keep game installers after installing (that one simply doesn't work at all in my experience).
No backup system
Very featureless compared to Steam
The whole spyware issue
EA still piles tons of extra crap on top of Origin. You practically have to create a separate account for every game and register content in different places for every game. Some EA games use the EA website, BF3 uses Battlelog, Bioware games use the Bioware Social website (requiring extra registration for DLC before you can even use it). The Old Republic doesn't even use Origin, they build an entire separate launcher and patching system after creating Origin to do it for all their games. All their free-to-play games have separate websites they launch from with separate registrations. I'm not sure about EA Sports games but I wouldn't be surprised if there's something else you have to do to play one of those.
And the #1 reason: it means EA games won't be on Steam anymore, where we all want them.
I may have gotten a little off topic there but you get the idea.

I don't hate Origin myself.
I have had problems with EA though.
Most recently I had made an Origin account to download Mass Effect 2 on it after their Support recommended me doing that when encountering a updating error.
After creating an account, downloading Origin and then Mass Effect 2 I then found out when I tried playing that the game didn't have any of the DLC I had previously.
I have the Digital Collector's Edition it says on Origin however I have bought the, quite expensive at the time might I add, Collector's Edition from a local store which was the key I entered on Origin.
After talking to their support once more they told me, long story short, that "..entering a store bought CD key into Origin is entirely your own risk aswell as any errors that can come from it."
I tried talking with them on the matter multiple times (4 times with different support people) untill I reached a point where I told them politely that I couldn't believe their nerve and I thought it was very disturbing to see them handling customers this way over what was a mere few euro's in DLC and that was exactly how I said it.
After that the customer service rep told me that he wasn't going to continue this convo when "it had gotten heated".
The next day I found my account suspended and promted to contact support who enlightened me that my account was now permanently banned.
All the while I stayed calm and reserved so at this point I was actually angry and closed the chat window, uninstalled Origin and have since vowed not to buy any new EA software.
Now I understand that everyone has different experiences with their support however it seems from this thread and the general attitude on other forums aswell that they've never had their support in proper working order.
With Steam I've not had a flawless record (multiple billing of my card for a single dlc, week long wait times and technical issues amongst them) however they have always gotten back to me and went out of their way to fix things.
Never once did I feel treated poorly or felt I was helped by not one but multiple people so oblivious or disregarding to my problem that I almost started to believe I was actually at fault in the matter.
I am patient enough for some wait times and I'm mature enough to see if something I caused has consequences however the complete and utter disregard for customer service that EA has displayed to me made me so angry I've decided to take my money elsewhere.
This, and a signed letter and form to my nation's Consumers Association, is the only way of resistance I have against a firm of this size as I have not the will nor the finincial means to take it to court.

I purchased bulletstorm from amazon and they say they cant do nothin about it.

i only contacted them once about bulletstorm but from my experience with Ea support you have to try many times in order to find a guy who is willing to help you
I made them to change my russian standard edition of BF3 to Limited English one XD

Customer Support? Steam client may be better than Origin, but EA's customer support is so much better than Valve's it's not even funny. Origin has a live chat for customer support and the people in there are actually pretty nice (i got a steam product acitvated on origin by one of their customer support girls). Steam on the other hand...you have to send a ticket and they respond after 1 day (if you're lucky) or 2 days (i guess i was unlucky? lol) and then you send another etc :/
Seriously, given my own experience with both customer supports, I can only assume that those saying Steam's customer support is better than Origin's, are either Steam mouth-foaming zealots either Valve employees...

If you scroll up a little I have my own personal experience with each listed.
Now I agree with you that EA's support is a lot quicker due to the live chat but in my case quicker doesn't mean better.
Like I mentioned aswell everyone is going to have different experiences with either, however that doesn't make them mouth-foaming zealots.

Because we still don't have the new games of EA on Steam because of Origin.

That is the only reason i'm not getting crysis 2 and orgin is slow

Looks like everyone is joining the bandwagon, it always was and still is just EA download manager but with a new name and a friends list. I can't see why you are all hating on it, most of the complaints are "I can't activate my 5 year old game on the download manager that was created after the game." or just whining about things in the ToS which they won't even use but that just serves as a justification if they fuck up (any reasonable company has that in their ToS). And about the support, it's the best and most helpful one I have yet to experience. You can actually live chat with them where on steam you have to wait maybe 4-8 days for an answer. Well yes EA has probably some kind of indian support center taking care of that for them, but yet when they don't quite understand what you mean they are generous enough to most of the times just give you a new CD key just like that!
To be honest everyone is just bandwagoning and hating it "because it isn't steam".

That is a legitimate complaint as one of the purposes of Origin is to have all your EA games in one place. Read it here, search for "Consolidate Your Library". Why do you want to pay twice for something you already paid for?

I'm still waiting for a good backup system in Origin. It should be one of the first things implemented in any digital game distribution software.
Currently, there are a few older titles (e.g., Mass Effect 2 Digital Deluxe Edition) that come as DVD image with proper installer. Users can just copy the whole thing to DVD and it will be just like a retail copy.
For newer game, they will be automatically installed. So, making a backup can be a real headache because some files that are needed for installation are missing. For example: Battlefield 3.

Origin is kind of okay, though i will always pick Steam over it.

this video is related to BF-3 ......... but ......... focus prettyyyyy much on the big picture and to why I and most people i know HATE Origin :) .....
special focus on:
ON ORIGIN - 24months(2years) without playing a game = deleted from ur account
EA's Origin = marketting BS :) hope u like watchin games u own on Origin disapearing after 2years without playin'em :)
those sayin they like Origin, should read more into and get properly informed bout their terms of use :)
those havin problems with steam and steam crashing n stuff, like topic starter, sayin steam crashes on him when he clicks stuff too fast, or problems with offline mode, sorry to tell u but, get a better computer or whichever, never had such problems like the ones u mentioned and quite honestly, i've used steam on quite a few crappy computers and nope, no complaints :)

To be honest I kinda like origin. Although there is no real community and it lacks many features that steam has, its light and fast. I have had way to many problems with steam so called offline mode. Steam also crashes every time I click on something to fast.
Don't flame me cuz I don't hate origin. Tell me why you don't like it.
EDIT:
Origin Support Thing 1: I purchased BulletStorm off of Amazon and was unable to activate it on Origin. So I talk to tech support and they give me a new key. Turns out the new key is a Mass Effect 2 key. I guess their gross incompetency is not all that bad.
Origin Support Thing 2: I purchased Bad Company 2 Digital Deluxe Edition off Amazon and was unable to access the bonus stuff. So I talk to Origin support and they give me like 10 BFBC2 keys because their idiots. They eventually gave me the bonus content. Then I sold the extra keys >:).
