Hello,

Trying to help a friend with his survey on mobile games stuff. Here's a link.

Sorry for not having a giveaway to accompany with this but maybe another day it'll happen.

EDIT: My friend said the survey has been closed. Thanks for those who helped him out.

Yay!

Potato!
*sigh*
Bored.
Meh.
Alright.
Good.

I've got one of my last MA exams in two days and I'm wasting time potatoing.

EDIT. He should insert a "none" option when naming those games. I was forced to pick a random option because he flagged it as compulsory.

Or remove the mandatory option. Besides, they're not even the most popular mobile games on the market.

Thank you for the feedback. I'll tell him about it when I talk to him later

No problem. I'd also change the question do you play mobile games, so that when you pick Yes you get to answer the others, otherwise the survey should end early. :)

I filled it out! The school options aren't entirely easy to translate to non-us systems, but I figured it out with some googling. Also as mentioned you need to tell your friend to add a none or n/a option to the "which of these games, if any, have you played" question, or if its mandatory move it to the start of the survey so people can nope out. I clarified in the optional follow up question so he can sanitize the data appropriately before collating.

Also might consider putting in a "what type of games are your favorite" question in addition to or to replace the "favorite games" question. I picked three I hold high at the moment but it's hard to hold out any clear winners and losers over the last 30+ years of games I've played. Some I loved deeply when I played them but would hate today because of antiquated design, some I play today for the nostalgia, some I love and get sucked in and play for a week on straight every few months or years and then forget about again... Genres are probably a better predictor given this sort of thing and would probably be easier to translate into a result of "which of these loved genres are not common on the mobile platform, and why?"

Pretty good survey otherwise though!

Thanks for taking the survey. I'll for sure tell my friend about that issue.

Also nice to know you are a well worn video game veteran of 30+ years

"Which of these games, if any, have you played before?"
I played none and I can't complete the survey.

Same thing here. This question should have "none of the above option"

@RozaldVane: Are you collecting email-ids through this survey?

I'm not sure what you mean?

I meant can I complete this survey if I access it through the Incognito mode, ie, as not logged into Google.

The warning/notification message I got upon entering seemed like that form is collecting user's email-ids, not saying that's a bad thing as it's a standard practice for surveys, but since this survey is for your friend's college project (as they state in the warning/notification) I'm not willing to give out my email-id.

I think to equate my online persona into empirical data, they could use my SteamGifts username (since I got to know about the survey from SteamGifts) or even, I'm willing to provide, my Steam profile nickname. The e-mail, IMHO, isn't necessary.

Yeah I can see it being unnecessary for the email stuff but I'll see if my friend can do something about that but nothing is guaranteed of it

Done. It's broken though. I had to go and play the games it talks about because otherwise I couldn't pass 3rd page (you have to select at least 1 mobile game you played out of 5 predefined choices).

I'll let my friend know. It is an issue that most here have mentioned but thank you for doing the survey.

Filled out the survey, but as others have noted had to pick a random game in the "Which of these games, if any, have you played before?" question else I couldn't submit (Fire Emblem was my random choice). It really needs a none of these option.
