I was asleep when the threads were closed, and I haven't seen the third thread before it was closed too. I really would like to know why they were closed and hidden.

I just noticed that myself. It seems like the options were posted primarily to get community feedback on them, and I think there was quite a bit of discussion on them yesterday. My guess is that they were closed because the admins got enough feedback to give them a general idea of where the community stands on each option. Presumably they'll take this into account when developing a final solution or other options, which might be presented to us for discussion in the future.

With some of the the small-volume gifters who managed to get a glimpse of the threads not starting any giveaways in the meantime, out of fear that when the solution finally comes into effect, their contributions might suddenly count for nothing? I feel this whole "let's publicly hint at some possibilities and then suddenly become silent" thing was less-than-well planned, regarding the user reaction. (Granted, the feedback itself might be very useful.)

You can't find them using the search function, these are the links: Option 1, Option 2, Option 3. So discussion is already closed? I don't want reopen it, but did anyone suggest to apply the first option without changing the rules about the keys from bundle?
