Recently I was suspended for not activating a won game (OMON Simulator). The problem here is that it is showing in my library and according to Steam it was activated on the day I won it. I have activated every game I've won so I'm confused as to why I would get a suspended for this. I had a ticket open to ask this but the suspension ended before it was looked at, so I figured I'd ask here since I'm assuming they're swamped with tickets. Are there known issues with how support determines if you've activated a game? I don't believe you can be suspended for the same game twice, but is there a way to determine which activated games they'll see as not activated? Is there anything that can be done?

What answer do you expect from us, regular users? If police is busy, you go to your grocer to ask about your speeding ticket?

Is there anything that can be done?

Frankly, you can and should wait and talk this out with the site's staff. Not having a private profile also helps.

I was asking more in general terms than my specific suspension. I'm assuming if it's happened to me then it'll happen to others.

i may be wrong here, but i believe having a private profile means sg can't check your activated games.

yeah I was gonna check what was up but private profile makes it impossible. can still check multiple wins but not the problem this thread is about

I've made my game info public, in case that ends up being an issue.

When I saw the title I was ready to talk crap about my 3 winners who are outright ignoring their won games for days and preventing me from reaching level 5.

Don't know about this specific case, but SG can't recognize some games as activated and they need to be whitelisted in SGTools. Those people had games showing as not-activated, even though they were in their accounts. But I would think that support would check this before suspending someone :/

depends how long they had private profile. If they cant look at the library they cant see if false positive or not.
I was gonna mention that myself though but since I cant check we just have to go on what is being said.

Doesn't SG require you to switch your profile to public once a week? That's the text below the sync button at least.

Thinking about it, I also had a weird case where a winner had won "something Ball" and the game they activated was "something Balls". I guess that person would've gotten suspended for that but I chose to just tell them about the mistake instead (I think the GA they won was removed) :/

yeah got to go back to public once a week or they cant enter anything. all you need to do is be public for a moment and back to private. we dont have any details of when it was reported, how long it took, when the profile was public or proof of anything so its really hard to answer stuff like this. I know at least if I was to report a missing game I would at least check if they own it so its not just taking up space, I'm sure support makes sure to do it as well

I've made my game info public, but I don't think that shows activation date. I looked that part up in my account info, and it's the same day as the win.

nah no one can tell when you activated games but they can at least see to confirm that stuff

The support checks before suspend users. At least i seen only that handling in over 2 years at the site and the support can check the red marks in private profiles too. Don't question me how they are able to do it because i don't know that.

And special to this game they should (and normaly would) do a false positive test.
But maybe someone don't looked close enough or don't checked something.

They are humans and each human have better and not so great days.

May I suggest you provide some proof here, e.g. switching you Steam profile to public, show us a screenshot of your account activation history, ....
As long as you do not do anything along this line, your thread reads like "just another whining thread".

I made my game info public. I wasn't meaning this to come across as whining since the suspension has passed and there's no point in complaining about it. It's more that I wanted to know if this was a known issue and if there were ways to avoid it.

Mistakes happen sometimes. Just file a ticket to unsuspend and explain the situation.

7 days ago, "game" went from api nonrecognizable (profile features limited) to recognizible, so I m guessing some caching problem somewhere. Probably that, if it was week ago. Shit happens.

It likely was around that time so that would make sense. I've made my game info public now so maybe it was a combo of those two that would make this look bad.
