Actually I think you can do that with just one copy.
I haven't tried it yet but Game of Life 2 has Remote Play Together and if I understood that correctly that means you can invite up to 4 people to play and only the "host" has to own the game.

Last year I played through Battleship on the Nintendo DS. It was loosely based on the awful Battleship movie. It was also a turned based strategy game in the vein of Fire Emblem or Advance Wars, only much simpler and with ships. Believe it or not, it wasn't half bad.

In general there are so many vintage video games based on common board games like Battleship, Life etc. that I find it hard to justify spending any money on them.
